Went today to buy stationery for my office at Game in Groblersdal. For a quite day, enough tills open so that I did not have to wait to pay. Found everything I was looking for. Prices were good. From security, to floor staff and cashier were all friendly and helpful. It was a nice shopping experience
On 29 April 2023 I did shopping at Game again. Guy, working in the Department I went to, had good knowledge of his products and patiently exxplained a lot of technical things in response. Xolisi, the cashier whose name I regrettably forgot as well as Security were all friendly and patient. I hope management recognises their excellent service and give them recognition for their service excellence. Today 2 July 2023 I bought 2 laptops, a cellphone and a printer. At electronics Mensaand Yvonne Makena helped me friendly and with good advice. Security officers Julia and Lephaphane assisted me on way out. They even made a copy of till slip so that if original fades I dont get stuck. Friendly service, good products and prices. 8/5.

I bought a printer and 2 laptops on 23 December 2023 and some small items. The staff who knows me in general and that due to ill-health , made sure I had a chair everywhere I had to wait. I got quotes from Ntabiseng Kgapola and Yvonne Makena. They knew their products and gave me good information. I returned later and bought the laptops and printer as quoted. At home i realised the one laptop was 2nd hand as it was in somebody elses name and the battery was not charging. I immediately took it back to exchange. The same ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. They only had the display model ( which strictly makes it also 2nd hand) I had discussed a R1000 discount because it was not new. they took me to manager Alphina Sebambo who was extremely rude to start with. She handled me like a streetwalker not like a regular good customer who spends thousands a year there. she refused any idea of a discount. she challenged me to call the Regional Manager. I requested her to call him to arrange R1000. She spoke sepedi which I understood and only asked R500 discount which was authorised in stead of R1000 as discussed. She left in a hurry and left me alone with Ntabiseng, Yvonne and Maria to helped me while she left as it was closing time. Thanks to the 3 ladies who went out of their way to assist me although it was closing time. 8/5 for them. 0/5 for the rude manager.

I don’t love visiting this Game store. There are always stacks of staff standing around in clusters chatting at the jewelry desk and the area where you apply for cellphone contracts and only 2 tills open and then 4 people chatting next to the cigarette counter tells you that there’s nobody there, you must go inside to pay. They also frequently don’t have items that are on special on the shelf and there are always big trolleys blocking the aisles, with items that still have to be unpacked. I am amazed they’re still open, with the number of staff that are always on the floor generally outnumbering the customers by a very big margin, I don’t see how they make a profit. It’s a pity, the prices are good, but a lot of people rather pay a bit more at Spar, where there is obviously management in charge and everyone does their job in a timely fashion.

It’s your local store,not as big as the rest but they stock up. I go there at least once a month for more4less deals and all great game specials. Hardly ever have long lines and most of the things you buy from big cities,like big screen TVs that the store dont sell,are delivered at game,then you can pick it up from the store or have it delivered to your house. I love the store.
