Do not hire for wood worm treatment!
The first surveyor came and didn’t really know what to do (even asked to borrow some tools rather than go to his van). Another surveyor came as the first didn’t write a report, they were better but were not thorough in their survey. JG Pest Control quoted PS3,800 to complete the treatment in our very small two bedroom house (granted this included sanding the floorboards of one room). The report was extremely limited in detail.
Since the quote, we have had people take up some floorboards and found that the wood worm was previously treated and no longer active. We’ve now had all our house treated for wood worm as a precaution, every floor board sanded and varnished, and all for less than half of what JG quoted.
I’ve since spoken to people about the quote JG provided, most of which have said this is an insane quote. If you use JG for wood worm, I would strongly recommend you seek another opinion
Have now attended the property twice.
First time baited all three lofts plus put bait in the drainage system. Checked the outside of the property for any obvious points of entry and also spoke to the adjoining neighbour.
On the second visit it appears that the issue has been resolved but a third visit is planned for confirmation.
All in all the company is very professional from start to finish.
Job visit reference number 526554 – I called JG and spoke to Bradley who was very helpful, he helped me arrange a visit regarding my infestation. The engineer (I can’t remember his name, sorry!!) was fantastic too, very knowledgeable and couldn’t have been any more friendly! A great service and a competitive price.

After an issue with rats attempting to access our kitchen area, we were panic stricken and called Gabriel late one night. He was both polite, professional and reassuring. He advised over the telephone, was genuinely attentive and shared our concern. Gabriel visited our home and employed effective methods to identify the root cause of the problem from inspecting the manhole, using bait, blocker, traps, and proofing areas under the kitchen panels to prevent rodent access. He has extensive knowledge of his work and went above and beyond to help resolve the issue for us, even checked in after to see how we were getting on. Thank you Gabriel, truly a god send. I called Enzo for advice on a possible infestation in my home. He was able to offer advice on the phone and also was able to visit on the Monday just after my call (which was on a Saturday). I wasn’t sure if I needed more than one room treated and he told me what I should look out for before his visit. I was able to send pictures to show him what I was seeing, he responded promptly telling me what he thought and what could be done about it.
He attended with all the equipment needed and had a look around other areas where I spotted bugs to let me know what would be best for my situation. Enzo did not push me to add extra services or try to take advantage of my anxieties, he advised to treat one room for now, the one where the problem was likely coming from, instead of just spending money in one go if it was not necessary.
Enzo ensured me and my family were safe as there were chemicals being used. He also explained every step thoroughly, what to expect after treatment and was available to answer any questions I had after his visit- this is very reassuring as it tells me Enzo does care and genuinely wants to help his customers.
I feel it’s still a bit early for me to confirm it’s all worked but I am very very happy with the service Enzo himself had provided. He is local which is great and very professional. In the nicest possible way, I hope to not need his services again but I will know exactly who to call if I ever needed to. Enzo deserves all the five star ratings he has, he’s really a star himself! We had an animal fall into my chimney and get stuck inside my fireplace, so we called Little Critters for assistance.
Enzo was super helpful and professional, and was able to find time to come help us urgently. He took great care in removing what turned out to be a pigeon from the fireplace, ensuring its health and well-being, and offered tips to stop it from happening again.

Little Critters came out to investigate a report of a mouse – Enzo was very thorough, careful and professional and did not leave until he had looked absolutely everywhere and found out how the mouse might have entered. Liviu arrive promptly on both occasions. He was extremely thorough with his work – Finding every possible area that needed proofing, I have no doubt now that my mouse problems are over (that itself is invaluable)
Quite often with tradesmen I find that they want to get the job done as quickly as possible, this can affect the standard of their work – The same cannot be said for Liviu – He explained everything to me in detail, apologised for any noise that was made and I can tell he takes great pride in his work – everything was completed to an exceptionally high standard.
He was extremely polite, tidy and left all areas spotlessly clean (probably cleaner than before he started)
I will not hesitate to recommend Archers Pest Control to anyone who would need such a service, Liviu has made a very stressful situation a lot more bearable for me and I could not be happier with the service he has provided.

Mohammed and his assistants helped us get rid of rats in our cavity wall. They had to repeat the treatment for three times until final resolution. They honor their 3 month guarantee policy as they did not charge us extra after payment of the initial fee. Also, Mohammed was the only professional (among several we tried) who identified and sealed the entry point to our house.
Qk team are knowledgeable and serious professionals and take excellent in communication, courtesy, responsiveness, effectiveness of their work.
13 January 2024 – My wife and I called up Mohammed at 7am this morning as we noticed a rat on our home security cameras. Mohammed and his son, both came over this morning (the very same day), fearlessly opened the skirting in our kitchen, identified where the entry points are, and placed the rat poison to hopefully resolve the issue. We now expect them to return a couple of weeks later to check the status. Very impressed with their professionalism and approach so far.

Only couple of months since we started to cooperate with Albany Environmental but customers service have been very helpful, friendly and accommodating- Customer focused team. The technicians have been supportive and helpful, also any emergency visits have been arranged quickly and efficiently. Account manager is always one phone call away, assisting with his knowledge and experience to help to choose right approach to the problem and find suitable solution. We’ve been looking for partnership with our service provider and so far we are not disappointed.
Contact / Customer service via phone and email could be better, very much try to jump to payment without giving the time to discuss with the customer the process and just expect to read handouts, bit impersonal.
Exterminator wise, really great and treatment was thorough and efficient. Honourable mention to Lewis.
Albany attended the house almost immediately after we had spotted a mouse, they made 3 visits during which they placed bait stations and sealed up possible access holes and within a week there was no further sign of pest infestation. We are very pleased with their responsive attitude to their work.

Daylight robbery – I had a very disappointing experience with Pimlico Plumbers. I paid PS150 for a plumber to confirm what I already suspected–that the leak was coming from the shower plate. The plumber didn’t have clear sealant in his van, which is a basic necessity for a bathroom plumbing job. He offered to get the sealant but mentioned it could take hours due to traffic, making me worried about incurring another PS150 charge. He failed to explain that material collection is capped at 45 minutes, which would have influenced my decision.
Due to these basic errors, I requested someone to come back and apply the sealant, a job that would only take half an hour, especially since I still had 30 minutes left from the initial visit. Instead, their complaints resolution suggested I pay another PS150 with a 10% discount, which I found insulting. I expected better service from Pimlico Plumbers, thinking their premium prices would reflect a higher standard. Sadly, this was not the case.
I posted almost 2 weeks ago on above issue, and Molly from first-line support mentioned that her manager would call me by the end of the day to resolve it. The initial solution offered was to pay an additional PS150 and receive a 10% discount, which I found unacceptable. I haven’t received any response from Pimlico except for their automated message below, which gives the impression that they are looking into the matter. However, there has been no actual follow-up. This lack of customer service is disappointing. Stay away from Pimlico Plumbers!
Update 2: this company MUST BE AVOIDED at all costs. It is impossible to speak to whoever is handling my complaint at customer services, promises to call me back (and there were several of these) are NEVER met, and after nearly 3 weeks of saying the PROPERTY DAMAGE THEY INFLICTED IN MY BATHROOM will be passed on to the insurer, absolutely nothing as happened. I intend to submit a court claim to obtain rightful compensation.
Update 1: absolutely dreadful. After wasting time regarding whether the damaged they cause to my marble tiles would be repaired by a third party company or put through to insurer, they finally decided that it will be dealt with by insurers and just closed down my complaint without doing anything. Still waiting to be contacted by “insurer” when I have been given absolutely no info on who the insurer is, what the case number is, what the process is, etc. When i call customer services it takes 15 mins just to be put through to the right team only to be told the person dealing with my case has left the office or left the company altogether and that someone will get in touch with me, but no such thing has happened.
APPALLING! Plumber who came to fix a leak in the toilet cistern dragged the cistern around on the bathroom floor without any protection and left marble tiles severely scratched. Beyond upsetting and something not even an amateur would do. Lodged complaint and called customer service twice but have just been told to wait for a response. Simply appalling.
I had a terrible experience with Pimlico Plumbing. We had a washer dryer changed by them. First thing the fitter came and checked if the existing appliance was fixable which it was not. So he suggested to order a new one. I asked for quotes for a new one which he gave me. Then we decided to go with Pimlico even though they were more expensive than others. Once the new machine arrived, Pimlico quoted that it would cots PS200 plus vat for removal of old machine and fitting of the new one. It ended up costing more than PS900 for fitting this new washer dryer. Totally a rip off and I will never use them again. The reason they gave me was the valve was broken, the washer dryer which they recommended (why did he not measure before recommending a machine that did not fit?) did not fit, so the fitter had to spend more time on fitting this machine and he had to call a plumber to fix the valve. This was meant to cost extra PS122 plus vat. In the end they wanted over PS900 and were threathening if I didn’t pay they would take the machine away which I paid for in full and I would lose that money. It was a terrible experience and very stressful to deal with them. The customer service called me and was totaly useless, they just could not see how they ripped me off totally. Please do not use them, as once they get in then the bill will be much more expensive than what they intially quoted for.

We called as we could hear rats in our loft. East Suffolk pest control responded super quickly which is the reason for 2 stars. Unfortunately all they did was put bait in our loft and left, very little information and advice given. They did not attempt to identify any entry points (even though I asked) and gave incorrect advice in regards to the bait that was left. We had a very different experience with another local company and received completely different advice to what was given by this company. I don’t like leaving negative reviews especially small businesses but I chose this company for their 5 star rating and unfortunately did not receive a 5 star experience.
Brilliant service, super quick and efficient! We called this morning and the guys came this afternoon. We weren’t sure where the nest was but the guys watched the wasp activity in our garden and within 2 minutes located a large underground nest hidden at the back of one of the beds. Amazingly fast treatment and the wasp activity dropped within an hour! I would highly recommend them
