We visited this Leroy store several times to buy some products which are not available in Leroy Gaia. Our last visit was July, 2022.
This store is located in the sme site of Parque Nascente Shopping Mall Porto. If you go to Parque Nascente Porto, you may visit this Leroy too.
Pros:
1. Wearing a mask is not mandatory anymore.
2. The staffs are so helpful to give us advices.
3. Payment associated with cartao casa can give us a little benefit which is good.
4. The free wifi is accessible in the store.
5. The location is great and easy to find by Google Maps. You can reach the store by car, bus, or metro.

7. The products are original and complete.
8. The staffs are so helpful when we need help to find what we need.

So basically I bought an AC system to be deliver on the 16th of July. Wasn’t deliver on time and in the same day I called Leroy customer support that told me that they would open a ticket to check what was going on and they asked me to wait by the phone that someone would call me… next day waiting and nothing… day after waited all day and nothing again.. so sent an email to Leroy call 2 or 3 time a day.. no one call me back with some kinda of feedback… had to cancel the order and get it from the store by myself. Now, I’m still waiting for the refund… another fight… and no email, no call, nothing! they simply don’t care

Leroy Merlin needs to update the address or change their Google listing. Your reply is not good enough. This location is not even near your store. Just fix it!
Replying does not fix the problem. Thank you for telling us in a reply to our negative review on how to find you. But that doesn’t fix the problem. You still don’t exist at the location you have on the map. FIT IT!

They seem to have a new member of staff who doesn’t put customers first. Twice I’ve stood waiting while he’s been talking to someone else. Sunday 1st October, he stood chatting to the previous customer for ages while I stood at the counter waiting for him to serve me. The previous week, he stood talking to another member of staff while I stood waiting. He needs to be trained in customer service.
It’s a really cool store but they don’t have enough knowledge about some pets they have for sale. Last time I went there, they had at least 3 fully grown syrian hamsters together in a small glass enclosure, which can go very wrong. I do not believe they separate males from females in a timely manner so there’s a possibility that the females they have for sale are pregnant. Very stressful
There is a huge amount of offer from all areas. Equipment is also varied and decorating ideas are also plentiful.
However, the pricing is quite high on some items that can be found in similar places.
Transportation is also quite expensive, so be sure to take that into consideration before buying.
Other that that, employees are happy to help and clarify all your questions.

I bought an Equation 9000 BTU air conditioner/heater/fan/dehumidifier at Leroy Merlin for 299EUR. I was sold this product with the promise that it would cool a division up to 18m2, I tested it in a room of 10 m2 and it really didn’t deliver on this promise, hardly cooling down after having it on for a few days. I was deceived into buying this fake/misleading product based on false and untruthful information so I went to the store and tried to return it. They did not accept my return on the grounds that the house policy (NOT COMPANY POLICY) will not accept the return of seasonal products. It’s not a seasonal product as it’s a heater/air-conditioner/fan/De-humidifier and is for use the all year round. However, this information didn’t make any difference as they seem to make up their own policies in Leroy Merlin, Maia.
They then took the product for testing and I returned in two weeks to find out there was no technical faults, it’s clearly just a bad product with unrealistic claims of capabilities. I asked for a refund and they refused due to their house policy on seasonal products. Knowing this is not company policy I then went a different Leroy Merlin store to return it as their website and online customer service (tried calling, they just hung up) says I can return this product at any store within 100 days. When I try to return it, I’m told I can’t return it there as it’s been tested in the Maia store (and has a sticker on it – proof that there’s no damage or technical faults). I’m told I can only return it in the Maia store, a seemingly impossible task. Having lost about about 10 plus hours of my life on weekends and endured the discomfort of pulling a large heavy item around the whole of Porto on the metro I’m back to square one, at home with what I can only describe as a big, heavy, loud, expensive NON-SEASONAL fan.
I found lots of useful things here, flooring, paint, tools, lights – many things for the house we have just bought. I thought this place was great until I tried their ordering and delivery service. I am still waiting for the replacements for the two vases they broke (out of 3) and for curtains. Now I know their weak point.
Very poor service. 3 months ago, I paid 25EUR to get a quotation for the installation of retractable ladders to access my loft and I’m still waiting…

1. They need to improve the service for self-payment machine. During our last visit, it was difficult to scan the products. The staff was so slow to help us. In the end, we took more time using self-payment machine than the traditional cashier.
Rude staff. Agressive and unhelpful and completely ignore basic customer rights.
I asked for a manager but the lady Manager that was there was awful and there was nobody superior.
Would not let me change curtains because the bag they came in was ripped open!! I have never had such a bad experience shopping in my life.
I took her details and a photo and next thing she called the GNR. I then deleted the photo as apparently I am not allowed to take photo and she physically touched me and wouldn’t let me leave. I had to show her the photos on my phone to prove that I deleted it. All of this whilst I was caring for my son 6 who was crying and my elderly neighbour.
Could not believe I was being treated in this manner over some curtains. Beyond a joke. I wouldn’t step foot in this shop again. She should be fired. Zero customer skills. If I had been a man she would have refunded me. Silly cow was stroking the previous male customer’s arm and melting. Pathetic. Useless.
Very large home improvement store with ample covered parking spaces upfront. Product selection is wide and deep, however, many items are not in stock and need to be ordered, especially tiles, flooring materials, as well as bathroom furniture. Staff is readily available and eager to help, Some associates speak English. Expect large crowds on weekends and public holidays,

This supermarket is located inside of the shopping mall. You must wear mask before entering to the building. They provide hand sanitizer to clean the hand on the entrance. The place is accessible for wheelchair.
The store is clean and big. It has great variety of products (for daily needs, meats, yogurt, fruits, veggies, and many more). They accept payment in cash or card. They have website if you prefer to buy online. They have self payment machine or manual cashier. The staffs are helpful, friendly, and nice. Free wifi is accessible inside the building.
They have a machine for self printing pictures if you need. You can wrap a present free using the paper provided by the store.

Very good product range, but I bought 2 kinds of Violife cheese also as some tofu and had to find out, that the validation date was over.. FOR WEEKS! Not good. Please, Auchan, take care what is in your fridges.

I visited Leroy Merlin Gaia this afternoon around 6 pm (August 2022). My experience was horrible. We go here almost every day since we are rebuilding our place, but today was frustrating us.
Cons:
1. The waiting time for casa de banho was horrible!!!
They should separate between customers who come for asking advise and place an order.
We were waiting almost 30 minutes just to place an order of our sanita. It is ridiculous. What a waste of time!!!

Tried to get a tailored bookshelf made, I’m waiting since February! I contacted the store multiple times, by phone and also in person where they promised to advance with the project and that someone would contact me in order to proceed. Absolutely do not recommend their tailored services, the store in the other hand is big enough to find almost anything you might need but so do their competitors in the same city.
Total disappointment! Think before hiring this company. Remodeling our kitchen and bathroom has been a total nightmare. I’m a reasonable person but these people have no customer service skills. They never answer their phone or emails and when they do it’s a lie. Weeks without a kitchen and their subcontractors have no idea what is going on. I wonder if they’ll ever finish

It’s a very big supermarket with a huge selection. However, the makeup section is a mess with a lot of products without testers (so, people would use the sealed ones and leave them). Also the self checkout doesn’t work very well, the machine can’t weight small items and we had to wait for the staff (and they took a long time because lots of people were also having issues)
Despite being one of the biggest hypermarket lacks in offer of goods you can easily find in other shops from the same company. Very few selections of organic goods and environment friendly cosmetics.
I was expecting that with the closing of GoNatural (company’s organic branch) I could find a bigger range of organic goods in Continente. Disappointed.
First of all I am from Bangladesh, i was scrolling your page and found almost every types of products is available in your store. It looks so clean and satisfactory. Only I have found Black tiger shrimp, fresh water, ocean white, gray harina PUD, its not in your store, i suggest you to full the lacking.

I visited Continente GaiaShopping almost once in a month. The last time was a week ago (July, 2022).
1. Wearing a mask is not mandatory anymore.
2. They are on promotion of free 1 selo to exchange with fork and spoon. The event will be finished on August 2022.
3. Continente gives us EUR5 with minimum purchase of EUR20 once in a week. Sometimes it is just 10% – 15% but still worth.
So, I advise you to have Continente card because it is free and you can get many benefits.

– The place is clean and big.
– The have scanned monitor to get to know the price if it is not clear enough.

– The queue in talho or peixe is so crazy in busy hours. Mke sure you do not come in busy hour.
– They receive payment in cash and card.
– We can do a return “product” guarantee here as long as it is 99,99% original product. It lasts 2 weeks only after we bought the product. You must take the receipt with you.
– They provide hand sanitizer in the entrance and exit door. You must wear a mask before entering the store.
– They have a gym here.

I had fun. Very helpful info desk. For 13eu I got a decent mani-pedi. Found a case for my Huawei cell phone. It was 15e and even has a front that encloses the phone. Just discovered a small pocket for putting whatever. Ate lunch at a chinese buffet for 8eu. Found lithium batteries at Wortens….had a good galao at the cafe in front of Continente.
So why 4 and not 5 stars.
The Continente is a huge, overpriced mess of a grocery store. They didn’t have Twinings earl gray tea. No only corn tortillas, downgraded their tiny Mexican section with low grade salsa and jalapenos. You think I don’t notice?
Oh, CELEIRO you’re a disappointment too. NO EZEKIEL SPROUTED BREAD AND TORTILLAS.
I like Continente in general, and this brach much more.
Well organized shelves, polite staff, new facilities, and it has almost everything you want.
There is a coffee shop right in the middle on the store and it offers not only coffee, bit also lunch.
I had pizza for my lunch today, warm and delicious with a good price.
I strongly recommend this store.

This is one of bigger Pingodoce near our place. They located near the roundabout of the main road. It is easy to reach the place by car or walking.
1. They have a wide parking lot for their customers.
2. They have a gas station next to the building. You can fuel there since the price is quite good.
3. We must wear our mask before entering the place.
4. They have great variety of products. You can buy your daily needs here. Some products are cheaper than other place, especially when they are in promotion.

This supermarket is in the middle of nowhere and in desperate need of some renovating. It had a dated selection of shops on the outside and the public attending is not really recommended… The supermarket is ok, but don’t go here unless it’s an emergency!
