Hired them for a mouse infestation. Not impressed with the service. Amazed that all Google reviews are 5 stars. I think we got unlucky with our service person. At the first visit, he spent most of the time explaining mice trapping and told me to not leave food lying around. He only examined the kitchen area. He laid down some poisonous bait but did not examine for entry points, look on the other floors of my house, set snap or glue traps, or tell me to remove the succulents. Later we found out the mice were eating the succulents. Told me to simply close the top of the compost bag, not realizing that the mice can chew through the bag to get scraps. Following the first visit, we noticed a lot more mice activity (chewing up plastic bags, mouse droppings on carpet and couch on every floor). Called him back to re-evaluate the situation and he only laid down more bait and told me not to call him back until 5 weeks later. He wasn’t too interested in answering questions. Said that the increased activity is not due to the bait. Although their website advocates the use of traps, this guy does not believe in them, so we had to go out and buy our own snap and glue traps. I even built a homemade trap. Called him back a 3rd time after we saw mice moving in and out under the dishwasher. He sprayed some poison under the dishwasher, didn’t examine the rest of the house or the bait stations and told me to call him back in a week for a refund if I still see mice activity. He kindly and promptly refunded me when requested. After 5 weeks, our mouse problem was still not resolved. Disappointed that he was willing to give up and refund us rather than to try new strategies. I do not believe this guy provided the best service possible that this company has to offer. Overall, his service was suboptimal. Based on all the existing 5 star reviews, I know this company can do better.
Would give zero stars if I could. They arrived late and drove past my house and then sat in their car for 10 minutes before coming over to my house. He struggled to find the bee hive, said it was fine without getting closer than a few meters and then told me there was no issue and then left all the while being incredibly patronising. I now have to seek out another pest control company to fix my issue.
Used this company to help me deal with a raccoon issue on my roof. Called 5 pest companies before this one to find someone who could call out within a few hours to solve my problem. Took care of the problem efficiently and closed off damaged area to prevent raccoon returning. Great responsiveness. Rating 4 star simply because it was definitely not cheap, although I appreciate the availability.

I called to get a quote and book a time and the person on the phone told me they would not book me. They were understaffed and booking three weeks away. She said I should call around to other companies. I said I would like to book for their first opening for three weeks in advance in case everyone is the same boat and she said no. It was up to me to call around and she would not book me. Disappointing for sure.
I appreciated the transparency of how full their schedule is and the potential delay but to then say no is very poor customer service. The wait, if acceptable to the customer, should not be a reason to turn a customer away. I guess they don’t need more customers?
Victoria Pest Control was extremely responsive, professional, prompt and affordable. We own an exterior remediation company, and had a mammoth of a hornets nest preventing us from doing a gutter clean for one of our clients. We had these guys out less than 24 hours after our initial call. We are now able to get our job done because they did theirs so well. Will certainly call again if we run into a similar issue! Victoria Pest Control was really responsive on my first call, scheduled me in on the next day when told about a huge hornets nest in my yard – a quicker response than several other companies – which I really appreciated. Their technician Joey was super kind and professional, explained the whole process, and proceeded to remove the nest. They also warranty until the end of the year if any wasps come back. We had a serious dust mite problem and we called Pinnacle pest control. The first tech they sent out was a new guy and didn’t do a good job. We phoned back and Elliot said he would come out and put glue traps down. When he came I gave him a part from the 1st techs tank. Elliot said he wouldn’t have been able to give a good spray without that part so he offered to respray us for free. Elliot sprayed on Tuesday and when we came back home after being out for 4hrs my wife was finally able to sleep thru the night. I was so thankful that now our bug problem is gone. If we ever have another pest problem I will call Pinnacle Pest first.
My Mom had a horrible mouse infestation in her home she lives alone with her dog and she had tried to look after it herself. It got too expensive and out of control so we called Elliot he was quick efficient reliable 24/7 other than health issues that didn’t even hold him back more than a day him and his team came in gave a quote and placed their traps closed off entries and finished the job quickly and painlessly I don’t know what we would’ve done without him.. I highly recommend him
Pinnacle Pest Control was able to remove the rodent that was living in our crawl space, on top of educating about the openings and holes that other pests were able to enter.
Elliot patched all access points and entrance ways for us around the whole perimeter of our house.

Outstanding service from Bug Master Kelowna! We had a wasp nest forming inside our soffits in a high area of the house. Although I can’t recall the name of the booking lady, she was incredibly wonderful, positive, and reassuring. Lakhota, our “wasp whisperer,” attended to the nest and took care of it. My husband couldn’t stop praising his professionalism, kindness, and gentle approach. They turned a worrisome problem into a simple task. Two years ago I had squirrels in my ceiling which produced scurrying. scratching frustration. Stephen came by and after scaling the roof he suggested traps. He taught me how to set one and over 5 days I relocated 5 squirrels, and relocated them to Cypress Mountain> 5 miles away. Peace and quiet for two years until two weeks ago. Thanks to Stephen, I had purchased a trap from him for $50 and was able to get two new invaders.
2 comments: He could have not agreed to selling his equipment which is his source of income. Yet it allowed me to plan for future intruders without the cost of pest control revisiting. A true example of caring for his client.
Secondly, after the initial months of torment I was glad to have Stephen as my solver. It was his reassurance of getting a solution which was so comforting.
So Pest control not only helped my psychology but also solved the problem and allowed a contingency plan for the future.
Honest, competent, caring, and fair are words that come to mind.

I contacted this company and the technician came. He was kind, but was not helpful. He charged me $400 in his first visit and promised me to come back for three more visits. He came for the second time, did very little and left. I had to travel in an emergency situation to take care of my sick mother .when I came back, I contacted him and he did not answer. I received two emails with the invoice that he charged the rest of money. I contacted many times for the follow up service, but he only sent me a short text that he is not in this job any more. I don’t know how people can charge others or send invoice for the service and work that they have not finished. This is not fair. I am sorry, but I don’t have consent for the money that you have charged me. I contacted another company and my house problem was fully resolved in two sessions without paying a big money in first visit.
Stephen at Pestcheck was simply a true ethical professional. One of the best I’ve dealt with in terms of care and concern. He was easy to talk to and I thought his pricing was very reasonable. After the initial assessment and meshwork installation he came back the very next day on an emergency basis as a critter fell through the chimney vent into the fireplace. I was so impressed that he came on a Sat afternoon despite his prior schedule as I told him it was quite urgent.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.
Go with Stephen at Pestcheck, you won’t regret it! I had the experience of using another pest control company (although they were not bad ) Stephen definitely was a few notches better in his attitude and service.

Old Island Pest Control is a FANTASTIC company. They sent their expert technician, Spartacus, to deal with our rat problem. Spartacus provided exceptional service from start to finish: his professionalism, knowledge, skill (detective capacity!), consistent and paced approach, as well as his willingness to answer all of our questions, left my family confident that these persistent (and smart) rodents would be dealt with efficiently. The comprehensive sanitation process carried out by Spartacus was also second to none. Every drop of rodent debris and smell is gone! I’m blown away and very appreciative! I highly recommend their services!

A fantastic experience from start to finish. We had mice coming into our condo and had been laying our own traps down the first week we saw them. We weren’t making any progress on our own, but within one week after the exterminator (Curtis) visited we were finally seeing results. Curtis was very thorough and professional. Without his help we’d definitely still be dealing with this mess.

We reached out to Humane Solutions after having tried and failed to deal with our mouse problem. Our solution of blocking openings under sinks and having bait boxes outside the house worked for about 3 months but as we went from summer to fall and we removed the bait boxes, they found their way in again.
We originally didn’t find any companies that could offer much more than what we did ourselves, which is why I was discouraged to see the return of the mice. What would they do now that we hadn’t done, except reintroduce bait boxes and only guarantee their work for 3 months? At $500/3 months that wasn’t much of a solution.
I came across HS in a google search. After speaking to them over the phone I was so hopeful. They were very patient explaining what they did, why and how it would work. They don’t have a warranty or a guarantee on being pest free persay, but the goal is permanent pest proofing – it’s just hard to guarantee under one original quote when these pests are so tricky. I was worried about the lack of written guarantee, but they reassured me that they wouldn’t quit until we were mice free. It’s hard to take a business on their word, but boy was their word tested to the extreme and they got an A+.
November they came and did the original pest proofing. We took a risk going against what Human Solutions said about examining the whole house (everything but the front porch due to repair costs) but felt confident we’d be okay. So we were pest free for about 3 weeks, saw nothing and started to feel better in December. Until we saw a mouse again. They sent another tech (fresh eyes) to examine the house and make sure nothing was missed. They didn’t find anything that visit, but we still continued seeing activity. Now the porch was starting to bug all of us and HS suggested that be our next check if we continued to see mice.
Fast forward a bit and we decided to pull up a board on our front steps so we could look under and lo and behold, we (the idiots) had drilled a hole to run a wire from our garage out to the other side of the patio. And we did not seal it. Total moron moment. By this time the mice had everything they needed, a mouse highway (along that wire) in a hidden dark alcove, access to bird food and mouse bait in our garage, and free run of the house via that hole in the wall. Mind you this was winter too, so they definitely wanted to be warm.
HS came out again and took care of it. We felt better – terrified of what was still trapped inside but feeling like maybe we would be home free soon. Not quite. We still had activity in the house, very minor, but we still had some. Apparently the tech who sealed the big glaring hole missed two very hard to see, very impossible to reach and very tricky holes that were behind tar paper (I don’t blame them – the two holes were not typical mouse access points). Their most experienced tech, who is also the owner, came out and found the 2 impossible holes. He also explained that once they have really nice access to your home, they are a lot more persistent to keep looking for a hole to exploit and that’s exactly what happened.
In the end, we’ve been pest free for months now, only paid the original quoted fee plus a small service fee that was beyond the free checks they provided and did not pay for the final visit which was technically an “error” missed by the tech. After 18 years of living in this home and never having an issue, this was downright traumatizing. I wish I had known about HS back when we first noticed activity. I also wish we had decided to remove the front decking at the same time we had the whole house inspected. It would have prevented the mice from becoming so familiar with our home and moving in.
We will never live in a home that we haven’t had HS come and pest proof. Why live with that worry when you have HS willing to tackle such a difficult problem and get permanet results. No need to pay monthly for pest control – please don’t until after you speak to HS. Most likely you will get better results that costs you less money in the long run.
I highly recommend Joe and his team at Humane Solutions. If you have a rural property with any type of wildlife issues or are in need of water management services this the only company you need to call. Joe was professional, prompt, and extremely detailed. He helped me assess all issues on my property including but not limited to: locating under ground springs, mapping out flooded areas vs drier elevations, managing an out of control beaver population, locating the source of creeks, draining the beaver flooded land, re-locating a large bat population, as well as being able to establish property boundaries. Joe prioritized communication and checked in with a daily report and videos -and even drone footage. As far as I am aware there is no other company that offers this type of comprehensive & complex service. I can’t recommend them enough. If I have any other problems I’ll be calling Joe and his team.
Recently reached out to Humane Solutions regarding mice. We were referred to this company by a family member who had a positive experience. Adrian came over to inspect our home and let us know where he felt the problem areas were. We received a quote a few days later of the work to be completed and anything else that was recommended. In speaking with Emma, she clarified any questions and concerns and was able to book us the next day due to a cancellation. Hudson arrived bright and early. He was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to show me what the work entailed and how it would look before starting. He was patient with my questions. And he went above and beyond when he discovered a wasp nest and took care of it for us. I am quite pleased with the work. Keeping our fingers crossed that we remain pest free as the temperatures cool down!

Great service and very knowledgeable and professional staff. I’ve had interactions with Al (the owner), Melo and David and they were all great people to work with. They did a great job of explaining to me what they were doing, how to mitigate future problems, and did a thorough job, even going above and beyond.. This is a locally owned and operated outfit compared to many other pest control agencies that are owned by large faceless businesses usually based out of the US. The countless other reviews all speak to the great work that they do.
Not too often I write reviews, but this one is well deserved. Al is very professional in how he carries himself and displays great passion for what he does. The man’s a rare breed in the trade’s industry. Highly recommended.

Very bad and not enough responsibility for their job. I paid more than 2k for one year of treatment of silver fish but it doesn’t work much. They still crawl every where and too much babies coming. I really wanted to cancel it because it doesn’t work as good as they advertised but service department explained that I had to finish all the treatments that I am not happy at all. Not even enough 90 days I wanted them come back for the follow up and they came but they charged on me $223 for the following up appointment that not supposed to pay by me. I called and explained with them but they said they can’t give me back my refund because it’s was paid by one time visit( not even enough 90 days quarantine). They ripped off my money and don’t want to give back. I am very disappointed by the way working no responsibilles and lying. Please don’t believe on someone knocking on your door

We reached out to 1st pest control due to a mouse problem at home that quickly got out of hand. It was causing us constant anxiety and many sleepless nights from the constant sounds. We are so grateful that the company sent Joel to us to help. From day 1 he has been great with providing so much education on the things we needed to change to help solve this problem. He talked through what his plan was, where he was planning on putting the poison stations, and why he was choosing the type of poison that was being used. He has been very receptive to our questions and concerns and put our mind to ease very quickly. Unfortunately after this experience we realized the previous company’s we hired took advantage of us by taking money and not doing nearly enough to solve the problem. We had at least three other people come in prior to 1st pest, with no solution. We are about three months in and Joel has already helped solve the problem massively. It is much quieter in our house and we are no longer seeing any mice. Now we are just working on the last few that are left over. If you want someone with tons of knowledge, expertise, and skill then ask for Joel. He wastes no time getting things done!
We had the opportunity to work with Joel, and all I can say is, you have to experience working with him firsthand to truly understand his work ethic, extensive education in this field, and his enthusiasm for teaching his clients the importance of pest control and preventing further occurrences.
