We have been using the services of Abell for 5 years, mainly to deal with ants. Although the problem seems to have been solved, we continue to contract for services from Abell for preventative purposes. The last couple of years, Matt Holden has been our Route Manager. He always advises us when he will be arriving, and is always on time with a cheerful disposition. The advance notice has been appreciated as it allows us the opportunity to let Matt know in advance whether there are any current issues for him to check out when he arrives (as we may not be home at the time). The annual service fee is very reasonable for the level of service that we receive.
Matt Holden is our tech and we are super grateful to have him out on our maintenance plan. Living with animals that require feed storage, we also lived with the rat population as a necessary byproduct, when we had some accidental spillage and the population explosion that followed, we called in the experts at Abell. We’re so glad to be a part of Matt’s service area and appreciate his consistency and professionalism greatly. Thanks Matt!

I was extremely frustrated when I started hearing scratching sounds & hopping over my head in my living room in Spring 2024 that I had never heard before. Joe & Steve from Antex Pest Control came out & saw a hole that some critters had created in my soffit area by my chimney & blocked it off. A few weeks later the critters created another entry point by my chimney. I am grateful for Steve’s perseverance as he returned when I called & set some live traps in my attic & eventually caught three squirrels. I have had one week of peace & quiet once again in my home & am able to sleep peacefully as Steve has eliminated the uninvited guests that had moved into my attic. I would definitely recommend Steve to take care of your pests that invade your home. Thank you for your excellent service in our community. This is absolutely an essential service that I have never required before & I am grateful for its existence.
We are very pleased with the service we received from Joe at Antex, and recommend their pest control company. Our issue was with carpenter ants.
Responded quickly to our first call, provided thorough education around the pest, and the spray treatment to ensure eradication of any nests, very knowledgeable and friendly service!
Joe returned after we had made some home improvements to re-spray those areas, with no fee. A 2 year guarantee is provided if the ants should return to inside the home before then. Competitive pricing in our opinion.

If you have any kind of pest control problem this is the place to go! Very highly recommended. We made the mistake of hiring a different company initially. It ‘s unfortunate we didn’t use Antex first. They corrected all the mistake the previous company made and came back until the job was completely taken care of. Two times and without charge, something the other company failed to do. These guys are professional and come highly recommended by others for a good reason.

Superb experience with this owner! He went above and beyond for me. He was the quickest company to respond (others took days and some didn’t reply at all). He was knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, reliable and trustworthy. He took time out of his day to talk me through all the issues via telephone and was able to effectively pre assess the situation based on photos I was able to personally send him. He also took the time to follow up after the treatment which truly demonstrated wonderful overall care. Thanks again for the great service!
I discovered a grapefruit sized hornet’s nest today while picking fruit in our orchard. As my partner had an anaphylactic reaction to multiple hornet stings a couple of years ago, I was very concerned. Wayne called me minutes after I left a voicemail explaining our situation and was at our home within the hour ( he was at another wasp nest removal)He promptly removed the nest in our orchard and gave us pointers on a few other issues. We are very grateful to Wayne for his wonderful service and would recommend him to others.
Absolutely amazed by the service provided by Wayne. He took the time to understand the scope of our pest issues, provided detailed information about the treatment. He went above and beyond with his service by doing some additional treatment outside of the scope we agreed on, and gave me some advice on some additional work needed on my home. The good: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The bad: I booked a time for someone to come do an estimate, and explained that I had to book the time off from our home-based business to accommodate their large time-frame of ‘between 1 and 3pm’. Then I got a call saying the technician had a cancellation and might be able to come earlier, so now the time frame is between 12:30pm and 3pm. Then on the day the estimate is supposed to happen, I get another call saying the technician can’t come any longer and wanted me to re-schedule on another day. I have lost out on a half a day of revenue because of this inconvenience, and certainly wasn’t about to take another portion of a day off and potentially lose more out on more revenue. Would not recommend.

VI Pest Doctor quickly stood out as our go-to contractor by providing excellent service with high standards & competitive prices for our investors. I would highly recommend VI Pest Doctor as my #1 choice.
Very hard to book. Requested pictures, and then booking times just for a quote on 3 different days in time frames of 3 hours. Quote was almost double their competitor, whom was available to do the job within 2 days. Really nice staff, but I wouldn’t recommend.

I used Dan’s services before the summer when I had a wasp infestation. He was prompt and knowledgeable. Did a great job. So that led me to call him again this fall when we had an uninvited guest (aka rodent) in our rental suite. He came promptly, again was knowledgeable. Did what he needed to do and said he would be back in a week to check up. Dan didn’t show. Didn’t call. When we called him he said he would come the next day. Didn’t show again. Three days later I had to call him back and demand he return to check up. He returned, reset and left. Told us where he thought they were getting in and that we needed to fill the spots and that if we found any more droppings, to call him back. Next day, we caught the culprit. I phoned and he said he would return in a couple of days to dispose and collect all the traps etc. Another week later and he still hasn’t shown or called. I call him again and he says “if he gets another job in my area, then he will come back and clean up but it would be faster if I did it myself”
So, for over $300 he came and set some traps and we did everything else ourselves. I lost 2 weeks of rental income because of his tardiness. When I asked what his fee was supposed to cover, he replied “I came and set the traps, told you where they were getting in and you caught him, so you got what you paid for”
Next time I’ll save the $300+ and do it myself.
Amazing company! Dan is so amazing, I’ve been using him for every bug/pest problem for the last 10 years. the first company I called was rude and seemed like he was in a rush to get out of there sd fast as he could AND it didn’t get rid of the problem (ants at the time) I tried Dan and he was so educated on the problem, type of ant and exactly how to treat it. The first company was apparently treating for the wrong type of ant… Dan did his job, was on time and even called 3 weeks later to ask how the treatment was going and if we were having any issues. The treatment even came with a 3 year warranty so if they were to ever come back he would come back and treat again at no charge. (They never came back) I use Dan every time I have a pest/ bug problem. Wont ever use anyone else. He’s never disappointed me.
Dan totally saved us. We had mites in our suite and he was super helpful, calm and informative about the situation. He knew exactly what needed to be done and was prompt, communicative and on time. He was very thorough and reasonable with the cost and time needed to assess and complete the work. Very happy overall and will be using his services again as needed.
