I am so disgusted by Rolyats Spar, it was such a great shop before but now it is horrible. I bought cooked meat from Spar and I was so excited about it but it came with fly larva, right when I was about to eat it, I noticed white eggs on the meat and when I took a closer look I realized that they were larva. This is a very dangerous situation and detrimental to health. I am disappointed and horrified. I won’t be buying any food from Spar.
I have attached pictures of the meat. Everytime you buy a cooked meal from Spar you are putting your health at risk.
Today I had a plastic bag from a clothing shop and after waiting a while at the parcel counter went inside to just ask the security guard to put tape on the bag and I leave it by the entrance to only be told that management no longer allows that. I asked to speak to a Manager and he confirmed basically saying that the lower class has no other option but to wait for an opening at the parcel counter or shop elsewhere. I asked to speak to his superiors and told that they don’t want to be disturbed over the weekend.
You can get almost anything here. The problem is that items are always incorrectly priced. Should you spot it at the checkout, you are made to wait for a long time before the price is corrected. We are now in a routine of checking the price of each item scanned. This forces us to only go there if we can’t get the item elsewhere. This is a pity as we really like the place.

Promoting expired milk to our community is not cool at all, and being ignored when I’m asking why are they selling milk that it’s expiry date is the 2nd of November 2023 on the 18th of November 2023 is not cool at, Spar you can do better with moody management , what will happen if someone buys this milk and get sick? what happened to the inspectors in the area . All these years I’ve always trusted my shopping at Spar, but let me say I am very disappointed and have no words can describe how I feel about this.
The store is clean inside. I’ve seen something interesting when you enter with your vehicle you are issued with a card which you’ll produce when going out
Had some food from the deli. And i was surprised with the food. Its up to standard and the vetkoek was delicious. I want that recipe. Lol

They have this sick law of not taking photos when you are inside the mall. That’s crazy how are we going to promote the mall if we are not allowed to take photos. I personally think is not a good mall to go to. What if you meet your friends and you wish to take photos while in there?
Awesome shopping experience and great products, but not the lower prices I could trust also this is so crowded you can finish an hour inside before you go off

Big store with everything we wanted to shop for. Nice hardware section too. Clean, well stocked, friendly staff, no queues to pay. Chicken were being removed from the shelves a day before it expired. Being a Monday morning some fruit wasn’t available yet.

My mother bought a Plasma TV at game just this past December 2021 at Game in Mthatha Plaza. They started using or trying to use the TV a few days ago as they were not home during the December holidays so the TV was at home still in its box. When she turned the TV on, it kept going on and off repeatedly and she took it back to the store. She was told the TV would be returned to the supplier to examine the problem and would be called when it is fixed. To our surprise, she was called today and told that the problem was the power button in the TV hence it went on and off and that there is nothing they can do as it is physical damage. The TV has no visible physical damage, how does a faulty power button become physical damage??? The TV was bought last month and never used until they came back from holidays, it has no physical damage whatsoever but my mom is told to come collect it! I would really like to see the report of the assessment that was done on this TV which informs this non-existent “physical damage”. Our parents are really taken for a ride by these mainstream retailers. I have been going through some reviews here and I have noticed that this “physical damage” spin is frequently used to mask the supply of sub-standard goods to consumers. I will exhaust all avenues to make sure my mom is exempted from this daylight robbery!!
Been to buy a lawnmower, been to buy extension lead, walking ring, baby chair. Stock displayed is not close by. When asking for assistance they make you wait 45mins-1hour to tell you they dont have stock. (And you dont know if they forget about you, get sidetracked, etc.)
I am forcing my way to the till as we speak with the display piece. Will have to fight there as there is nobody to assist in the isles.

Every shop has its down side, but game mthatha has disappointed me every time.
Service at Game Plaza is very poor at the delivery point. Inside the store service is not quick due to lack of staff . I stood by the delivery gate without anyone trying to hear me out. There were people outside but they felt to continue with what they were doing. Eventually after 20 minutes outside the gate the security lady guard came to me and wanted to see the receipt. Woow this is a bad experience ever.

I was blocked at the entrance by a short security guard which I can identify given a chance. This was because of the trouser I was wearing I,according to him. I did not want to cause a scene, I just left with disappointment.
The trouser I had on was a track bottom.
today i got the worst service ever the manager decided that we stop being assisted on pump 6 while we waited more than an hour for fuel n we all knw its packed with patrol going up, just because of a taxi driver. level of skills HALF for a manager.
