I called British Bug Control thinking I had bed bugs. I had a couple of pictures and sent them on to Gareth there who was brilliant. He identified the insects not as bed bugs but as bird mites, which was a big relief as I had done my research and know how hard bed bugs are to kill. We have starlings nesting in the loft area, so that then made sense as they live in the nests. A straightforward insecticide spray was arranged and problem is now gone. They attire coming back once the starlings have gone (protected while nesting) to clean up and then proof against them coming back in next year. Excellent, informative, honest service and good value for money. Five stars.
Had a problem with bed bugs in my flat which I couldn’t get rid of – yuk! Spray treatments didn’t work but did some research into heat treatment and found British Bug Control online – their site is informative and they were really knowledgable and helpful on the phone. Anyway they were able to set up a heat treatment within a couple of days and it worked brilliantly – no more bites and no more stressful sleepless nights! Yay. Even if it hadn’t it all comes with a 24-week guarantee. Hope you never get bed bugs, they are a nightmare. But if you do I recommend these guys.

We had a serious problem with a big nest of bumble bees in our tree very close to the house entrance. Though we were reluctant to exterminate them, we were told by a member of the British Beekeepers Association that they were not honey bees and that they could have become very aggressive; so we were left with no choice. Dave provided us with an excellent service. He was also very prompt to return the day after we called saying that there were still few bees around. We knew that this could have happened because the nest was very deep-down. He had to do another treatment (at no extra-cost). I would highly recommend him and his company. They are also very competitive.

Fen Pest inspected and identified carpet moths in my home in July 2020 after I noticed damage to my carpets and asked for help and advice. I had no idea those insects even existed until that time, but was horrified to find them. Their work on that problem saved me a lot of costly damage. Follow-up advice has prevented any further problems. Very happy with the work on that.
Just a month ago, I asked Fen Pest to identify and treat a type of infestation on all my houseplants (I have a lot). Again, they identified the problem quickly as Fungus gnats, and offered various methods of treatment. I was impressed that they didn’t immediately go for a insecticidal approach, but a more natural treatment together with a type of pheromone sticky pad. I was amazed to find that in a short time the problem was under control. As before Fen Pest followed this up to ask me how things were going.
These aren’t the sort of major rat/mouse health hazard sort of issues I know, but nevertheless are very annoying for someone who spends much time at home. Both problems were sorted with minimal interruption to my work.
I’ve found Fen Pest to be friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of people and of property. They will take time to discuss and understand the problem before taking any measures. I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services in the future for any pest problems.
Owen at Fen Pest was super responsive and arrived only 30 minutes after my call. He carried out a thorough investigation to find the source of the problem and left some interim measures until the item that was required to fix the problem arrived. Once the part was fitted he even did a third visit to ensure that the issue was rectified. The cost was very reasonable and didn’t change from the initial estimate. Owen was super friendly, helpful and took the time to explain the process and steps taken. Whilst I hope I never have a reason to call again, I would recommend that anyone with a pest problem gives Owen a call.
I contacted Owen due to a suspected Squirrel having gained access to my loft. Own was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He confirmed the presence of a squirrel and was able to resolve the issue quickly and professionally, ensuring he had located the point of entry had been blocked to prevent future visitors. He also investigated other options that would reduce the chances of squirrels being able to access the loft in the future. An excellent, fast and effective service. I highly recommend the Fen Pest service and will use them again if ever required.

After having a number of wasps in my garden room over a few days my husband called Dean . He came within a few hours , located a nest and treated it . He also sprayed the garden room to treat the wasps indoors . Dean was extremely professional and friendly and said he would come back if needed in a few days . We had to take him up on this offer and phoned him first thing in the morning three days later . Dean was with me within a few hours and did further investigations , again treating the problem without any further cost to ourselves . The problem is now sorted and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dean . He was amazing .
JUST LOOK NO FURTHER for SERVICE and TRUST – Dean was very fast to respond to my call on Saturday early morning. He offered to visit me on Sunday early morning to investigate a hornet nest which was giving me a true cause of concern having two young children. Dean solved my problem quickly, he gave me peace of mind (priceless) – he also recommended there was no need of treatment and as a result he did not charge the call out. JUST OUTSTANDING. The other 4 companies I contacted have yet to return my call and I will let them know if they do call back why they lost my custom and any future one.
I cannot recommend Dean highly enough.
I contacted him about an issue I had on a Sunday. He responded immediately despite being on holiday. He came round as early as he could and sorted my problem within 30 minutes.
I am so grateful as I now feel safe in my own house again. As well as sorting out my issue Dean could tell I was extremely worried and took time to reassure me.

This company did an amazing job and I would recommend it to anyone.
Part of my “new” house is actually over 120 years old, and the previous owner made the mistake of burying the air bricks providing underfloor ventilation to the living room.
As a result, there was damp raising from the ground along the oldest wall of the house.
Anglia Property Preservation Ltd sent two gentlemen, Andrew and Alan, to sort out the problem. They are both very polite, honest, hard-working craftsmen with remarkable skills.
My house was sorted in the shortest possible time and in the best possible way.
The admin of the company is friendly and responsive. Jackie, who replied to my many emails, never failed to do so in less than a couple of hours.
I have rarely been happier to pay an invoice.
APP were excellent from start to finish. They were diligent and helpful scoping out the works; we had four site visits to make sure what we wanted was possible. Once the work started the team were unfailingly professional, helpful, tidy, good company and willing to go the extra mile. We can’t thank them enough, we are absolutely delighted with the work.

Having owned the house for a year we were well aware that a small group of pigeons were living under our solar panels. We didn’t find them too annoying but the droppings were concerning. Our garden path was plastered with the stuff. I was also concerned about the mess on the roof and in the gutters.
I sent an email to BritishBirdControl and I received a comprehensive reply from Gareth. He talked me through what was involved and the estimated pricing but there was no pressure to buy and I left it for well over two months to consider.
Once I was ready I got back in touch and Gareth put things in motion. We paid the deposit and we were booked in for the work a few weeks later. The two chaps that arrived were on time, polite and professional. They explained what they were doing and then got on with the job.
I believe that they have done a nice tidy job and they sent me the photos to show what had been done. Initially the pigeons spent about two weeks sitting on top of the panels but they eventually got the message and have now relocated down the street on someone else’s roof. We haven’t had any pigeons hanging around since.
We also had some bird spikes installed down the side of the roof above the garden path and we’ve had no droppings to deal with either. It’s been great.
Well worth the money I think.
British Bird Control answered my enquiry about removal of pigeons that were nesting under our solar panels plus fitting of protective mesh to prevent them returning. They promptly detailed the work that could be undertaken, provided a quote that was better than others, scheduled the work as soon as was possible and delivered on the quote as planned and professionally. Communication with all levels of the company even over weekends and evenings including Managing Director, Health and Safety, logistics and accounts was smooth and polite. On the day the installers cleared the roof of the pigeons and their nests etc., fitted the protective meshes, treated the roof and panels with biocide, and cleared up the area afterwards. They also took photos for me of the work that was done on the roof and all looks to be of a very high quality. A 10 year warranty was also provided.
