Pretty much the only home improvement store in Lauf for the layman. In that, it is good.
Also, if you get the right employee, they will go out of their way to help you. However, over the last 2 years, they seem to find less skilled or less interested employees. Which is very unfortunate.
Best departments would be lumber, front desk and paint. Everyone is very friendly and helpful there. My recommendation, stay away from plumbing, Grumpy McGrumpface resides over that area.
Nice big shop with all you may need for refurbishment. Most of the staff speak English, some are a bit unpleasant and don’t want or doesn’t speak English. For me as a short term guest worker that is important.
Like home Depot in the US. They are a little short on some things but close hardware store to graf and the bolt selection is good for that one bolt that your movers lost in your HHG shipment

Store itself is fine, but if you need help, first takes time to find someone, than he sends to another which you wait again, than the second one sends you to the next floor. When you reach the next floor everything repeats again. At the end nobody knows if they have what you need or where to look for it. Bottom line – nice store, bad service.
A Home Improvement Store comparable to the Home Depot (in the U.S.). Staff in general is normal nice, shelves are stocked, a very good selection of items and prices are reasonable.
This place has a lot in store from Garden things, Kitchen furniture to various utility appliances. It’s a one stop shop for buying home utilities.. 🙂

Very well organised store, for all your gardening, pets and electronics related DIY needs. The staff is super helpful and they go extra mile to assist the customers. Imho Must Visit. Definitely recommendable.

It’s pretty big and has nearly all you need from crafting things to kitchen tools. Since it’s that big it’s not very easy to find everything you want to have. The personal sometimes also has no idea where you can find something than you may need, what made me spend more time than I rather would have wanted to in the store. The price is mostly okay for what you get but it can also be very expensive since sometimes there are missing price tags.
Although the online experience was awful, the Nuremberg Regensburger location helped to rectify the issues with my order. They were very friendly and helpful, and I highly recommend visiting this location. I went in person for the first time and they have everything you could possibly need! Wonderful store and staff!
Nice, well organized and has helpful staff as well. With the Obi app, you can even know where exactly you will find what you are looking for and if it is available in the first place. Definitely enjoy coming here.

I was recently here to buy a new lawn mower as my old mower broke down … after good look in the store i found one electric mower (not battery) which i carried in the cart to the info counter to ask the staff on where to buy the “Cable”. The lady staff firstly ignored me (thinking i cannot speak German) and later spoke to me with a very serious face. She guided me to the right place … but i was just not happy by her behavior (felt very rude). I can understand they attend lot of customers and may be tired, But a smile ? how much does it take ? a smile could have made my day (who knows) …
any ways good store for all home improvement, DIY or home gardening !
could have been better, i would still rate 4 starts … as said, may be the staff was just tired or was too much busy in her papers to even let go a customer who is buying 500EUR mower
I 100% regret the day I came to OBI and spent 10.000EUR in one kitchen… I had a incredible bad experience here. Waited 22 months to have a complete and functional kitchen functional. but I paid in 5 minutes the 10k. 22 months!! of unprofessional service from the person who sold the kitchen, person who took measurements and assembling team. everything was always wrong or broken. never ever again I step in one OBI, me friends or family.
The Obi employees are helpful and will speak a little English and bear with an American trying to learn German. The selection here is great as compared to other Obi stores. There is a bakery and outdoor dining area along with cold drinks at the counter. Great store overall.

Plenty of goods on-hand, large selection & conveniently located near B8. The downside is what it ALWAYS is with every Obi I’ve ever visited – The Staff/Employees. If you need assistance they avoid you like the plauge. If you happen to catch one of them, you have to, almost, literally twist their arm to get some help. I get it – most employees didn’t aspire to work there (assumption of course) But gee folks – if you have to be there, help us out a little.

Very nice store with all types of plants or flowers. Very good quality products. They also have very convenient home products or gardening materials. The workers are very kind and ready to help or give advice when you have questions. There is also a small but cozy cafe available inside.
Wifey was filled with joy as we have very good options to chose from on plants and flowers. The Koi pool was also very relaxing to see. Added are the kind staff who are so helpful. Thanks everyone running this place. Cheers!
Nice place for all kinds of plants or gardening tools. They have a really nice Christmas section in the wintertime. Only thing they don’t have are like really special plants but of course one wouldn’t get them there anyways.

The Bauhaus in Nurnberg is at perfect place, the staff is professional and extend help whenever needed.
Surprisingly, The staff spoke to me in English . Which is super rare. Man they won one non german speaking customer.
I sincerely wish all stores staff should speak English together with their native language German. Who know may be. the English customer could get them 25000EUR to 75000EUR order. (mine was just 4500EUR)
But I am happy.
Things Change, and I still have a lot of respect for this Organization. But when you would like to talk with the Marktleiter and he is sitting in the information working on is computer which is ok, but the lady on the information tells you to explain why you would like to speak with him and she decides weather not he has time for the customer and this without asking him: Wow! like I see things change to the bad sometimes…
I recently visited this place. The selection of products were extensive and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable and the store was clean and well-organized. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for hardware and home improvement supplies..

Very large hardwear store with a great aquascaping section. We mostly went for fish supplies and flowers, so we didn’t stray to far into the hardwear section. Lots of items for a planted tank especially live plants and fish. Prices were comparable to what you’d find online. Also great selection of indoor and outdoor plants and balcony gardening items.
WORKERS DON’T KNOW THEIR JOB! WAS LOOKING FOR A SPARE HOSE FOR MY KITCHEN FAUCET, WAS TOLD IT MUST BE ODERED & TAKES AT LEAST 2 WEEKS! WENT TO AISLE 17 & FOUND WHAT I NEEDED! WORKERS TOO LAZY TO GET OFF THEIR CHAIR & HELP! WORKERS LIKE THAT DON’T NEED TO BE WORKING THERE!!!

I ordered a lot of stuff to build a garden shed online and picked it up myself. The store was still closed due to Covid restrictions. Everything was great, besides for the store taking 2 hours longer to put my order together than they has communicated. It’s a huge store, and Hornbach is generally very good.
