The ladies in the office need some training in customer service. Learn how to LISTEN to what your customer is saying, don’t interrupt them, don’t cut them off, don’t have a bad attitude and be short with them! Sometimes you get customers who aren’t the happiest with a companies services and when you answer the phone you may have to deal with that a little bit. I called today and wasn’t upset in the least bit when I called, I was calling to say that your tech didn’t show up last week as scheduled and to find out when he could come back. The newbie that answers the phone turned it into something entirely different and then when she could tell I was getting irritated with her she passed me through to Ann who wasn’t any better. To the technicians, if you’re going to be way outside of your scheduled time with a customer, give them a call because we sit around waiting for you and we do have lives. It’s summer time, people have plans and children’s sports to go to etc…. When you need access to inside my home to do part of the service that I have already paid for then I would expect some sort of communication from someone stating they will be much later then what was scheduled (in my case is was a 5-7 hour time difference). Put yourself in the customers position. How would you feel if you sat around all day waiting for someone and they showed up 5-7 hours later while you weren’t home… what if I had taken time off of work to be home for you and you didn’t show? Do better please!

The customer service with the office was very professional, kind, and competent. I live in the west end sort of behind the where the old Herbies was, the new retirement building and other construction that displaced decades of rat infestation.
The tech, Doug that came to my house was exceptionally nice; he took the time to explain why what I had been trying to do wasn’t working and provided the plan that hopefully will work.
Having rodent issue is a horrible experience and it makes one feel dirty and gross, but Doug was very cool and not judgmental; he was kind, funny and very knowledgeable.
We’re just a few days in, but Orkin came highly recommended with good reviews and we’re very hopeful for a favourable result.

I initially called Orkin and spoke with Crystal. I explained my situation about the wasp nest on our home and also that my wife is very allergic to any sting. Crystal immediately said she’d get back to me based on my wife’s situation and sure enough she was able to get someone on the same day. Jason was the technician that arrived and he was absolutely excellent in his performance and his explanation both prior and after the nest was removed. Can’t thank you both enough for recognizing the urgency in getting this done and then to do the task in such a professional and effective way.
