I love this supermarket. It is verry well organized and has almost everything. The Brot and Brotchen from their bakery is delicious as well. They have extremely good offers and discounts throughout the week.
This store never has enough staff on the chackouts. There is always a 20min line waiting to pay and they have 13 checkout but I’ve NEVER seen more than 4 open.
I enjoy to find in a supermarket a variety of sortiment. Nice and fresh vegetables, milk products and beverage. The have also fair prices.

We asked for help and advise and thought we’d be able to receive so at the front desk. Unfortunately that lady seem to have a very bad day or just didn’t wanted to talk to us un general.
Wenn she was not keen to help us at all so we had to call the service Center for help eventho we were at the bloody store.
We’ll great customer service at the front desk I’d say.
Great shop for food and non-food for businesses. If you are looking for meat, fish, wine or Champagne this is also one of the best places in Altona. Always numerous discounted articles. There is a big parking lot around and under the market. Be aware that you need a special business permit to enter the market. This is best hold in the app on your phone.
As it was my first time visiting Metro, the staff at entrance were really very unwelcoming, as she could have properly and smilingly guided but instead gave expressions that you are not allowed. I don’t know how the other staff is but we left the place in the first instant due to her insulting body language.

Regularly buying my groceries there. Friendly employees, excellent range of goods. Bit expensive though. One thing which is really garbage, are the self-checkouts. When the customer makes a mistake during usage, the machine just locks up, and a employee has to come and unlock it manually. Its almost comedic how often every day they have to do this. This happened to me many times until I decided to just go back to the regular checkouts. This should not be that hard to use. Its ridiculous and frustrating.
I was really impressed by the variety and quality of goods available, even if it isn’t one of the largest Rewe stores. The alcohol section is rather extensive. There is a fantastic cheese counter as well as a very large meat one too. Fresh fish also available. Pricier than other shops for fruit and vegetables.
Expensive. Very well stocked. Fresh orange juice is available, as well as a gazillion varieties of cheese and meats.
I would shop there more often if it wasn’t for the high prices.

Never seen such good customer service at any homebase/Wickes/b&q in the UK. I have visited these stores in the UK at least 100 times over the past 2 years due to a complete house renovation but not a single time have I seen customer service of such high standards!
Staff in the UK stores are usually very busy and will help you for 10 seconds and move on, but the person who helped my aunt and I yesterday with buying exterior paint was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! He spent a good 5 minutes explaining and advising us on which paint to get and which ones to avoid and answered all our follow up questions patiently.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name but I hope he still gets this message and that the management really look after him well. We visited on 3 May 2023 around 1600 – 1630 and needed white paint for a concrete wall in the balcony.
It’s ironic that these type of megastores are complaining about being able to compete in the market – and many stores are closing.
I went to get advice to get some WC for a guest toilet – and there was a guy sitting there on his computer in the department – but said he was not the ‘toilet specialist’ and couldn’t help (alas), apparently the ‘expert’ was on a [toilet] break. So 20 minutes wandering around he still wasn’t back – must have been a large kebab he ate the night before.
Nachtrag:
Heute noch mal da gewesen und der super freundlicher und super kompetente Kollege HERR ISBARN hat alles gezeigt und bis zur Kasse begleitet. Vielen Dank! Bitte schatzt solche Kollegen.
My boyfriend and I bought a pendant light there a fews weeks ago. Now that we needed to cut the cables to adjust the length, we realized that the wiring’s quality is so low end, poor and not safe! all the cables are connected together which means that we are unable to cut them and if you don’t have some knowledge and tools for it it’s clearly dangerous. The wiring has to be reviewed. We now have to wait until my boyfriend gets proper tools to change all the connectors. I would not advise it for beginners.
The canopy is also to small for this kind of product.

I never went out with everything in my basket planned to buy. And mostly something interesting more. Good service, good products and good prices.
Had to get some screws and no idea how to find the right one. Asked a staff member for help and they helped me quickly find the right ones.
You can find pretty much everything you need at the place and the people working there are very friendly and helpful 🙂

Great bauhaus, has pretty much most lines. I just bought a house nearby, I’m here every week now for something and they always have what I need. Even rented power tools and bought sacks for waste pickup. Great store and friendly staff.
Only slow part is the paint counter, always seems to need more staff for the lines.

Update
3 years later…still love this Bauhaus
What I like about the store is everything is organized and tons of interesting stuff to explore. What I recommend to improve is that very difficult to find personal to get information. Something even when you try to ask about specific product they don’t know. And you need to find it by yourself.
I was here to buy some products against mold. I have shown the old product I had to the man and he told me where to find it. Good that there are people who can helps me…I know so less about this kind of things

We preordered a bathroom cabinet and the pickup was smooth and the guy at the back door checkout super friendly and helpful. So can definitely recommend doing it this way. It’s a big place and we did lose some time rattling around looking for smaller bits and bobs, so they don’t quite make the five stars as it was hard to find a helpful person to point out where to find things.
Great Store in normal Times. During Corona they can’t get their s*** together. They offer a 2hiurs pickup service…am waiting for 4 days to see those 2 hours coming to an end. Unfriendly personnel on the phone. No indications on when the order will be there for me. Very, very unprofessional during this pandemic.
I was browsing, enjoying the place, great selection but was stalked by security, don’t understand what his game was but he asked to search my bag at the cash register. Of course it was empty. Won’t be coming to this shop again. What a pleb.

The customer service experience was extremely unpleasant. I approached a staff member with a question regarding the location of a product, but instead of assisting me, he became angry and started shouting at me for interrupting him while he was seated and gazing at the ceiling.
Furthermore, as my German language skills are not perfect, I politely asked him to repeat the two-word answer he provided because I couldn’t hear him clearly. In response, he remarked, “Why don’t you speak German?” When I explained that I am not from germany and currently in the process of learning the language, he retorted, “I am also not from here, and I speak it better.” It is evident that this individual should not be in a customer-facing role.
Also the prices are not the best so for sure will not go back.
They really have a lot. Unfortunately it’s quite difficult to find what you are looking for in the huge aisles. The aisle categorisation is way too broad. Staff is friendly but only willing to tell you which aisle you have to go to… you have to scout the huge aisles on your own to find what you need. A rather exhausting experience.
Good price…bahaus have good product selection, accessible access by metro, bus, or vehicle, and quick service. Workers are gentle and knowledgeable about the best products, and they work with reputable manufacturers.
You get all hardware products. Also gardening products and so on.

Always wonder why it has to be too huge because you find almost everything to make your home. It is quite big market to find everything, from furniture to garden stuff, kitchen to bedrooms, and different bathtubs. Interesting, kind of small fish aquarium inside, sure variety of fish for your house fish pot. Fun to watch them inside and ask for the one of your choice.
great selection, we always shop here for hardware and plants. The food kiosk outside serves a variety of fresh German fast-food. The only downside is that if you need help (ordering renovation items or retrieving items that only an employee can get) the wait is very, very long. So one star reduction for lack of assistance.
Super big store. Here I have been able to find nails, an angle-measuring tool, a shower hanging caddy, a Christmas tree and a light extension for the tree (that uses batteries).
The staff was helpful. They told me where to find things and showed me the different products they had of something I was looking for.

IF YOU WAIT MORE THAN 5 MINUTES TO PAY THEY GIVE YOU 2,50 EUROS. JUST ASK AT INFO.
So big. They have a lot. Almost everything.
Actually they’re too big to have a real concept about it. Can be confusing there.
I guess they make 90 percent of the money with 10 percent of the things. But many people come here to find more than at Aldi or Lidl or other discounters.
They’re no discounter, but the standards are at discounter prices.
Long waiting to pay usually. But see remark on top. They pay you for waiting.
I ate in a Vietnamese food store here. I got my food in a plate ,but there was not enough flavor. Soy sauce decorated all of the tables, so I did not think twice for pouring a lot of it onto my food. Salt was also displayed but I did not use it. I had one plate of food and took another one in a cup. I recommend only eating 1 plate as I ate 2 plates and ended up becoming very sleepy and tired.
