Ricky from Lea Valley Drainage was an absolute gentleman who went that extra mile to help us out.
A total of 6 houses (back to back) are having rat problems. I called Ricky to inspect my drains to see if the rats are coming up from there and found no issues. Instead of packing up his equipment, he decided to check a manhole further down and found the root cause of our problem. Again, instead of packing up his equipment for the second time, he drove to a few local shops to find and install a drainage stopper. I’m confident this will stop more rats getting through.
Ricky has 20 plus years of experience and he certainly knows what he’s talking. Went beyond what was expected. We need more tradesmen/professionals like him.

Ricky is a drainage hero! We were having issues with a blocked drain underneath our house and had called another drainage company to fix it. They were unable to unblock the pipe so we called Ricky for a second opinion. From the start it was clear that Ricky was far more knowledgeable than the previous guy we had spoken to. Within a couple of hours Ricky and his team of guys had dug up our gulley, done a camera survey, sorted out the blockage and neatly re-built our gulley. We can’t recommend Ricky highly enough!
Can’t recommend Ricky highly enough. He quoted a very reasonable price for moving a drain cover and when the subsequent issue was more significant (clearing of a blockage in the sewer) his price still remained very reasonable. More than that though his assistance with dealing with Thames Water at a late hour was much appreciated – his explanations about what was going on were always clear and both him and his team were unfailingly polite and punctual. Ricky is a legend!
