I Purchased a 1lt Can of their outdoor cleaning fluid, it leaked from around base of can, so and as well as loosing all the contents of the can it totally ruined the steel cabinets paintwork which it was stored on top of.
My comments to their customer services was the following. Quote…..
I purchased a 1lt can of outdoor cleaning fluid from Yorkshire Trading approx 2 years ago and it was stored on top of a steel filing cabinet in my garage I came to use it recently only to discover the can had leaked it’s contents from the base of can all over the Top and Back of the cabinet taking the paint off cabinet where it had come into contact.
The Garage is not damp so water ingress wouldn’t have caused the erosion.
Can you please advise if you have had this problem from other users.
The reply I received from their “Customer service” was this.

We are sorry to hear that the Outdoor Cleaning Fluid has leaked, our shelf life is approx. 2 years this is expected to be used within the 2 years.

We don’t have anything on our record of this happening before where the chemical has come through the plastic bottle.

First of all it wasn’t a plastic bottle (don’t know we’re that one came from) and secondly the CAN gave no advice as to the service life or use by date as mentioned above.
I find their comments disgraceful/unprofessional and I would warn others who have purchased this product to be very careful as clearly the cans containing this fluid are not fit for purpose.
Given my problems and the damage this product can do, the very least they could have done is offer a voucher for its replacement.
Clearly this company don’t give a damn about customer service.
Needless to say I will be contacting trading standards.

Doff portland is a terrific place to work, they make you feel like part of a family. The shop floor staff are full of brilliant yet individual characters. i will always cherish the time i spent here unfortunately i let th company and family down with my own behaviour i would like to apologize to all the great people i let down that made my doff life such a pleasure i feel like i have grown alot as a person an my mental health has come on heaps an bounds. The management was always good to me an i could never fault them. H.R is probably the lovelyest person you could ever habe the privilege of meeting. i wish the business all the sucess in the future aswell as send all the staff my love.

Avoid this company at all costs; they flout safety regulations and care nothing about their workers; I worked there for 2 weeks and was got rid of because I had difficulty doing a 2 man job on my own!! They expect you to work over 4 hours without a break then they whine at you for not going fast enough!!
