Willie came out to remove a wasps next that was in quite an awkward place in the attic. He done this without any hesitation, very quickly and was no problem for him at all. Very professional and would highly recommend and will definitely use again the future when needed! 🙂

I really do not enjoy leaving negative reviews but I have been left with no other choice. I called to make an appointment to have a survey completed which was in itself quite an arduous process which involved having to chase up a time and date on several different occasions. The survey was booked and when the day arrived I received a call 5 minutes before the arrival time to inform me the surveyor had broken down and would not be able to carry out the survey at the agreed time. I understand this is unavoidable so called to see how long they would be, I was told by the administration team I would receive a call back as soon as they had spoken to the surveyor. I waited 30 minutes and did not receive a call which resulted in me calling them again to enquire if they would be arriving in the next hour to which I was told they were not. I requested if the appointment could be rebooked for the following week and was told they would get back to me with a date and time, it has now been a week and I am still waiting to hear back with a new appointment time. Really disappointed as I had read great reviews and was really hoping they would be able to help with my condensation issue.
Our Church property in Larkhall was affected by Rising Damp, Wet and Dry Rot. We engaged Richardson & Starling to deal with the property problem. The property was surveyed by Craig who carried out a thorough and professional survey and issued a very detailed report. The contracting was supervised by Daryn who managed the works from start to finish and kept us updated and communicated well with us. The quality of the works was carried out to a very high standard by Graeme, Willie, Davie, Billy, John, Josh and Scot who were courteous and very tidy considering the major repair works. The office staff were very helpful and easy to contact. I would recommend Richardson & Starling to anyone who finds that they have a damp, woodworm or rot problem in their property. I contacted R&S to carry out a survey of my basement to scope out an issue raised in my homebuyers report.
The survey was really detailed and the findings were well-documented, so that the required work was easily understood.
Graeme & James arrived from the Glasgow branch to carry out the work. My own work allows to critique the extent and scope of the structural work and how it was done, and I can attest to a high standard of work and appropriate scoping.
Graeme and James refitted my underfloor insulation. This was not in the scope and they cleared away any sign that they had been there.
I am extremely impressed by all aspects of my experience with R&S, and particularly grateful to the two lads for their help.

I recently had my fence replaced by Tommy and Chris and what a professional job they have done. Tommy and Chris had a great work ethic and aimed to please at every stage of the job. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of everyday and ensured the garden was safe for my dog. Tommy and Chris turned up everyday and worked in the extreme cold and snow. I would definitely recommend for any outdoor work and I will have them back to clean my patio in time for the better weather. This is the second time I have used TOMS, first time was to replace fencing and this time to restore, clean, fix old slabs and repoint slabs in my patio area. I am so happy with the job that Tommy and his colleagues have done. The fence is well built and solid. The patio area looks brand new. I’m looking forward to using the area now that it’s nice and clean. I would highly recommend TOMS to anyone looking for any outdoor maintenance work done to a very high standard. We saw TOMS do a job at one of our neighbours and were very impressed. After getting a quote from them, they started work on our roof the week after. What the guys did with our roof was transformational. Tommy and the guys did a stellar job, they helped us work out the best deal for us and we couldn’t thank them enough for their attention to detail with the work done and the clear up afterwards. Had Mark visit aunt’s house to assess work required paid for two days work plus a plant and a small strip of turf, agreed what work would be carried out.
Unfortunately this didn’t happen. He agreed at the time of pricing the job debris would be removed from site which was non-garden item’s, this never happened this was an additional cost.
I personally will never use MIG again, however if anyone is thinking about it, please get a written quote detailing exactly what work will be carried out!
It’s been a fantastic experience working here! There’s always something to keep yourself busy, and there’s nothing more gratifying than looking a back at a day’s work! It tends to never get dull, being at a different site every day keeps the working environment nicely varied and means a good opportunity for a bit of sightseeing. The other lads are always great company too!
When contacted about poor quality of work we received no response.
This company cut over easily collectible plastic waste and litter creating sharp and harmful micro plastics in an area in which children play at Hamiltonhill Gardens, Glasgow on several occasions. Their environmentally damaging work, leaves the area in a worse condition than when they arrive.

We had evidence of rats coming into the house, called Abbey Services, they sent an estimate right away by email, I called them and accepted and they sent someone out that morning
All work was very professionally carried out by friendly helpful staff, bait was left 3 times and checked each week to see what progress had been made and by third visit they were confident that we no longer had an issue.
They then investigated where they thought the rats had got in, this involved lifting a decking board and blocking up a hole in brickwork, replacing decking board and pointing off front step, again all agreed after a free estimate.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

What was a routine boiler service on a tenanted property in Bishopton turned into a new boiler needing to be fitted. It’s not the best time of year for a tenant to be without heating and hot water, but, fully understanding this, Derek at Abbey Services responded very quickly and was able to provide the necessary advice to myself, issue a quotation and install the new boiler within three working days. The disruption to the tenants was thus minimal. A grand performance all round.
Derek and his colleague turned up promptly today to fit a new shower. They had previously carried out a repair to a kitchen sink drain so I was confident that they would do a good job. Friendly, efficient, and a sensible price. They also took the time while they were here to look at a roughcast repair job which I’m hoping to get done in the spring. Highly recommend Abbey Services. They are my go-to company for most household maintenance and repair jobs.
