Have never been spoken too like that by the retail assistant, if it had been my grandson he would have got a slap.a young man who was sent to help me make a purchase, not only spoke to me like a 2 year old, then said I was stupid. If this had been said in a jocular voice , then I would have joined in, always ready for bit of humour, but it definitely wasn’t, I usually am ready to say thankyou, often go back if someone has been specially helpful,with a pack of biscuits, but this is the first Time I have complained anywhere, when I think how lovely the men are at Wickes ,to what happened here, no comparison, please let your young staff, we may be old, a bit weathered, but not senile, have good hearing, and when shopping have money in our pockets, regards Fay

So here I am, with a puppy with a broken leg in a very unusual position, and I am tasked to find the right size bag, or rubber cover (or anything really), that could go on the cast quickly and be strong enough to not let water on the cast. After many failed online searches, B&Q was my last hope. After describing the issue to a member of staff, a small action team formed to find a solution. Within about 5 minutes of brainstorming the perfect, simple and cost effective solution was provided by one of the guys.

This team has a solution for everything….or if they don’t, they’ll find one for you!

“In praise of Peter” – Called in this morning at 7am as I needed some compost.
Upon arrival at the gardening section I was met with a jerry “Hello do you need anything in particular”.
I replied only compost and was asked if I needed any help lifting.
I then had a conversation with this exceptionally customer focused member of staff who told me his name was Peter.
In a modern world it is nice to still have personal interaction with customers and employees, not the self service robots.
