I never do any reviews for companies or people I use however my experience with rodents lasted over 18 months due to none of the Pest Controllers we had attend our house really doing anything to help us, or seeming to care or even in fact believe we had an issue. I’ve done this review in the hope it may assist anyone else out there going through the same stressful situation we found ourselves in. As it affected us as a family quite badly.

I’ll try and keep my review short and won’t go in the horrendous experience I had with other Pest Controllers before contacting these guys.

I got recommended Simply the Pest funnily enough by another pest control company whilst inside my property trying to sort out our issue with rodents. After spending around PS1500 on 5 different Pest Control companies Joe from Simply the Pest arrived at my house and really seemed to know what he was talking about. I gave him one payment and he ended up coming to my property around 6 or 7 times with Simon to help us try to resolve it. Both him and Simon are really nice people and were willing to spend time helping us. They lifted panels of my decking (this is something that none of the other companies were prepared to do) in the garden to eventually find the access point they were using to get under my house. Once this hole was found I cannot tell you how relieved we were. It was filled by Joe and touch wood since then we haven’t seemed to have any more problems. Joe also found an issue with my neighbour’s property as well which he helped fix.

However Joe can be a very difficult person to pin down and arrange a day and time to attend our property. On occasion we were left waiting a few days for him to turn up when he said he would and never showed, with no phone call to explain why. It was always us doing the chasing. That said for the money we paid and the amount of time and effort he did put it on the many occasions he came over it was definitely worth the money and a miles better service than any of the previous people that we had over to our house who collectively did absolutely nothing. So for this we will always be thankful to him.

I would definitely recommend Simply the Pest if there is anyone out there looking for a decent Pest Control Company.

I work for a company that needed and still needs the service, I contacted simply the pest in the 27th of May, today is 23rd of july and there is still no solution just money wasted, they charged us PS340 to put a very ugly foam that I could have done myself and that obviously the rats went through without any trouble. We arranged 2 visits in which they didn’t show up at all without warning anyone about, in the process of trying to arrange this visits we kept on calling from the company phone and no one was answering however as soon as we tried with private number or our personal ones minutes after, the answer was inmediate. We have insistently tried to get them to come to sort the problem as we have paid them a big amount of money, but they literally just don’t want to, they keep on avoiding our calls and when we manage to arrange something they just don’t show up, this is a warning for everyone to save their money and don’t waste their time either

I had high hopes after all the positive reviews on our local Facebook page. They initially came out very promptly to my mother’s flat where she’s been experiencing mice issues. Since then I’ve been texting and calling with no response so I’ve given up, they have not kept to their word. It’s a shame as my mum’s landlord have treated her horrible and I was willing to pay privately to sort this out so will find another company instead. Very unprofessional.

6JJ – a person came out to provide quotes on sealing the property but couldn’t determine a price based on the pictures they took. After I chased multiple times, they said a manager will come out and provide another on the spot quote but never materialised despite me chasing again. No point now as we are waiting the for landlord to now resolve the issue.

If I could zero I would, save your money
Paid PS250 for a nice infestation after the initial visit felt very promising as was told the source of the issue and that they would be back the following week to fix any holes
They then did two no shows for which I was given no notice, I took that time out of work which I wasn’t paid for, and I had to chase them to reorganise
When they finally did come back they did not fill all the holes or the source of the issue they had told me about
1 year guaranteee is worthless because shocker we still had mice, a further two no shows later, after multiple voicemails and texts left, they come back and tell me there’s no need to fill the holes upstairs where they are getting into our bedrooms because they can see the source of the issue. You know that issue they told me about and never filled in the first place.
I am now moving out of the property because who can tolerate living with mice for three months and constantly chasing a company for a service you’ve paid for and wasn’t done properly

Would definitely recommend. I directly contacted Conor as this was the second time using the company, he was amazing we arranged appointment via text I explained I now had some health issues and when he arrived he covered his shoes to reduce outside substance coming into the home which then helped with my health and stopped me from catching anything.

Really appreciate all his hard work. Hopefully won’t need to call him out again should this happen again I will only use Conor.

We had cockroaches infestation and called pest control how agreed to carry out an initial visit and a follow up visit for PS250 which we paid in advance.
Connor came out for initial visit but after chasing him up several times to carry out the second visit, he never turned up. We had to pay another company to visit and confirm that the infestation is under control. Do not recommend this company.
