Although John was friendly and responsive, please be careful of the pricing agreement. My house had a bed bug/flea infestation and when agreeing of the pricing, John mentioned the cost to be PS350 for 3 visits. He also required the full cost to be paid upfront after the first visit. Later on, the issue was fixed within 2 visits. However, John did not agree to refund for the third visit, mentioning the cost to be for up to 3 visits. I found it quite unfair as I had to pay the same cost regardless of fewer visits, but I would have had to pay more if more than 3 visits were required. I would recommend others to be vary of paying all the cost upfront.
John is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience and the necessary accreditation which is apparent when he explains things. His prices are reasonable and he provides an all round brilliant service. He has even saved me money by identifying unecessary extra work quoted by other companies. What more can i say! I have recommended him to many. Thanks again John.
John from JCB was so helpful – we have a fly infestation in our bathroom and he really knows his stuff! He really put my mind at ease and offered such fantastic advice – I would recommend JCB for any of your pest control issues. Such a lovely person with a wealth of knowledge!

Ridiculous no one answers the phone ever. And when j called last time for wasl infestation as I had hundreds wasp coming into house a day. . They said they will not come. U don’t think anyone works here since no one answers the phone ever. If you don’t believe me than try calling them
The lady on the phone was lovely.. but sadly they couldn’t help me straight away resulting in me have to pay for a private service. 🙁 it was a wasps nest and im literally petrified and allergic to wasps. It cost me nearly a 100 pound to sort out.
Phew, what would we do without them. Very helpful. Getting through can be a bit of a trial. A whole re-think on telephone access would be advisable. Not everyone is comfortable using a computer (yet!)

My landlord Housing for Women Housing Association arranged a contractor from Arvag also known as Apest to replace my kitchen fan on 4/10/18. I was shocked when three men turned up instead of one. It doesn’t take three people to replace a fan. What my landlord hadn’t told me was that a meeting had been arranged in my home with the repair manager, meaning I would have had four men in my home. As a vulnerable domestic violence & abuse victim, this is very unprofessional and inappropriate. I was told that H4W had failed to turn up and they had been waiting over 45 minutes outside. So I allowed all three men access as my son was home. As soon as they entered, one of the men agreed the fan was very loud and would need replacing. I explained to them that the previous contractor sent by H4W had stated that it needed soundproofing, to which Arvag said that soundproofing the fan would cause a fire from overheating. I showed them the flooring in which all three men agreed that the previous repair had been a poor job and not done correctly which was why the nails were poking out & floorboards were uneven and unstable. Then one of the men managed to get hold of H4W repair manager Kirk and after they had a discussion, Arvag said that there was nothing wrong with the fan and the flooring was normal. That one phone call from H4W made Arvag change their story just like that. While I appreciate H4W being their paying client, treating a woman like she’s dumb and stupid and then lying about the state of defects and disrepairs, was pretty obvious that the directors of H4W had ordered them what to say.
Kirk from H4W informed Arvag that he would not be able to attend the meeting arranged in my home, which was done without my permission or consent and that another member of staff would be attending so they had to wait. After waiting around for some time, one of the men left and two members of staff from H4W turned up unannounced and uninvited. This was done by Hony, the director of H4W, who gives the orders. And it was done to intimidate me and cause me distress as I had made it clear, I did not want neither the surveyor or housing officer in my home due to previous grievances.
When both staff members entered my home, I made it clear that I would not be discussing anything as I had a right to have a legal representative with me. I also made it clear that I would continue to turn the lights off from the mains as that was the only way the loud fan would turn off.
I informed my local Labour councillor of the events and the fan not being replaced and how Arvag changed their story after the H4W call. He then contacted Hony, the director of H4W who claimed to have no idea that the fan had not been replaced. Even though she ordered two of her staff to my home. I requested the report done by Arvag which notes were taken down while they were in my home. She also said that she would arranged another company to do the job. But instead of being sent the report, which every contractor does, she sent a letter written to Hony, which was not a report but a letter. This letter by Arvag failed to mention that three members of their company had arrived for a meeting in my home and failed to disclose the truth of the current standards of the disrepairs in my home. Instead, writing that the noises were not intrusive. Which is a big fat lie. Luckily for me, my son was live streaming while all three men were in my home and this was recorded and broadcasted online.
All three men, were respectful and nice and would have got a good review had they not lied after the phone call from my landlord and made to lie to my face and in writing.
While I appreciate H4W are their client, being dishonest and told what to say and do by your client, the director of H4W makes you unprofessional and dishonest for supporting a corrupt housing association.
Apest we’re hired by my Housing Association to fit a fire door at my property. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. Butchered the door on fitting, damaged property and left job unfinished. Now, weeks later, I’m trying to get it rectified and being ignored by their staff with the occasional communication saying they’ll sort it. Absolutely disgusting, cheap and nasty workmanship.
Worked at Apest as a driver loader, was sent out with co workers that spoke very little English. Management a shambles, total nightmare of a place. Avoid like the PLAGUE. With what I have seen of there workmanship, I would have more confidence if MR BEAN turned up to do the work. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Terrible service. I am thoroughly disappointed by the service we received from James at Water Damage. I sent detailed instructions about the areas of our basement we wanted investigating but the technician completely failed to inspect these areas, which I had specifically highlighted on a plan of our building. The technician was meant to be on-site, and we paid for 3 hours of his time, but after 1 hour his phone was running out and so he left! The follow up report we were sent didn’t cover the areas we had asked to be inspected and when we took this up with James he was entirely lacking in any understanding, completely failed to acknowledge my detailed instructions, slammed the phone down on my co-Director and refused to work for us again. I have never received such a terrible service! BE WARNED. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. – NB The Response below is a complete lie. We were very prepared, having sent detailed plans of the exact areas we wanted inspecting but these were ignored. I was on-site for the entire time they attended and made myself available to support the workman so not sure how this can be described as ‘unaccommodating’. We didn’t ‘run out funding’, we paid ~PS1000 to Water Damage but failed to get what we paid for – having only received one hour of work when we paid for 3, so it seemed fair to ask for 2 more hours in order for the job to be completed. I never threatened to leave a bad review but unfortunately Water Damage did not provide what we paid for so it seemed appropriate to share this information for others’ benefit.
Outstanding – James is a true professional – swift response to my enquiry, came and identified the problem with minimum fuss, remarkably polite and respectful of my property. Fixed the issue on the spot and was kind enough to use materials left over from a previous job so didn’t charge extra. Overall cannot recommend enough – here’s someone who takes his work seriously and understands/provides proper customer service.
Amazing service. James gave very knowledgeable advice and sent one of his colleagues as soon as possible to remove my carpet after the flooding. He patiently talked me through various available options before and after the flooding incident. And later also emailed me on best ways to repair the damage and answered all my questions. I definitely recommend this company if you have a water damage emergency.

If I could give these guys a 6 star rating I would!
Today they laid a perfect new lawn – lush green, as flat as a pancake and totally exceeded my expectations. It looks wonderful.
They were very professional, cleared away all weeds and their roots, they did a lot of prepping to the give the turf a base in which to grow and thrive and were polite and considerate at all times. They started and finished within the time frame they gave and provided some very good advice as they left – proper attention to detail.
I am delighted with their work and their costs were very competitive too. I would definitely use these guys again.
I have used this company since I saw how they transformed my neighbours garden. Their forte is landscaping. I cannot vouch for planting schemes. They are responsive, reasonably priced and professional. My project was redesigning my small front garden after it was devastted by box caterpillar. I was astonished how hard Steve and the team worked. They are very open to discussing plans and being flexible. I particularly liked how well they cleaned up before they left.
The most recent of several projects and general maintenance jobs was carried out with their usual very high standard of professionalism, expertise and care. Good communication and great value for money. They keep to schedule and costings – so no chasing them or hidden extras. Very knowledgeable, reliable and hard-working. A pleasure to have them working at my home. Thanks, guys.

I called Pest Protect, who were extremely quick to respond to my initial message and do the first visit to lay down the poison etc. However, after multiple attempts to speak to Danny, I was unable to organise a second visit in order to pest-proof the flat.
Edited to respond – I contacted Danny in July 2019, where he turned up swiftly afterwards but was unable to get him to perform the second visit for over a month and have since given up, despite paying the full PS249 for 2 visits.
We had pest protect out for a pest infestation of mice having moved into a new property. They were very helpful on the phone and came the same day as call was made. I was impressed with their professionalism, friendliness, and honesty. They were really professional and extremely knowledgeable about the mice problem we had. When they say they stand by their work and guarantees, they mean it! Very reliable and would highly recommend.
