I received tremendous service from Target from the moment I called them. They arrived within hours and determined that we had rats traipsing through the walls and ceilings. He charged us a fixed price to take care of the problem. They caught the first two within a few days, but the others proved unusually elusive. The whole process required so many visits that I offered to pay extra for the time they invested. He refused, saying that he had agreed to a price and that he would honour it. And did he ever! He answered almost my calls immediately and never took more than 24 hours. He would always send a person over asked. To sum up, I recommend Steve, Alex and the team from Target without reservation. They are polite, professional, answer rapidly and they took care of the problem.

I called them this morning, because I found a bunch of maggot-like larvae on my kitchen ceiling. The person who answered was very kind and understanding. He suggested different products I could use, how to use them, and where I could buy these products as they only provide the extermination service, and don’t sell the products.
I had called 4-5 exterminators before Central Extermination, and they were the only ones who tried to help me by explaining what I could do to get rid of the larvae! They didn’t try to push me to use their services either. I expect to use them in the future if I require their services! Highly recommend them as they are honest and trying to help people.

We had some cockroaches from our last tenant who was less than clean in the kitchen and Ricardo did an amazing job of eliminating them both on the spot and within 4 weeks of 3 key ingredients doing their magic. During those 4 weeks, while we renovated we saw a few more and he was very prompt to come back + now after 6 weeks of the first spray he came again for a last preventive shot now that renovation is over… We did not see any in recent past ! As one of the Board members of SCMW, this is the second time we use Central Extermination for our condo project. Our experience with FG Ultime has been great. Filip responded to my call immediately and came by the next day to treat our bedbugs. The instructions for preparation were very clear; Filip was punctual, friendly, clear, and understanding of my questions when he came by to do the treatment. He is very knowledgeable and was thorough in examining our apartment: I feel confident that his services will solve our bed bug problem. He has also been quick to respond to my communications about payment, invoicing, and scheduling and is incredibly personable, pleasant, and professional which has made this stressful experience a lot easier to deal with. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone dealing with bed bugs!

I contacted this company because my neighbor noticed a growing nest on our connected roof of our row houses. I left a voicemail explaining the situation in detail. Someone from the company returned my call and told us that one of their employees could come out and do an inspection for just under 100$. Fine, no problem.
The gentleman that showed up on the day of the inspection came in an unmarked truck, without a ladder. Already I was confused since an inspection would require someone to actually go up there to evaluate the damage and inspect what was going on. Communication was difficult. The man, without actually performing an inspection, told us the following:
1. Whatever had created the nest was not a raccoon.
2. Whatever it was had damaged the metal siding of the row house rooftop. I had said as much in my voicemail when I first contacted the company.
3. However, it had not gained access to the attic. Not sure how the man could confidently say this without performing an inspection.
4. His plan was to install metal mesh and a one-way access door. The animal would leave for food and not be able to enter again. They would then come back some weeks later to remove the nest, mesh and one-way door.
We had some issues with this because the damage visible to us from the ground showed that the metal siding had been damaged and pulled away from the roof, so water could now get inside. There was also the issue that if the animal that made the nest also had babies, the mother would not be able to enter the nest after leaving to feed. Meaning the babies would die. Finally, if the mother couldn’t go through the one-way door again it would work to get in another way to get back in which meant more potential damages.
The man was absolutely uncooperative with any questions we had. He refused to answer our questions and just waved us off. I asked him what the quote would be and he gave us near 900$ for only the metal mesh and one-way door + coming back weeks later to remove it. Ridiculous, and without even doing an inspection in the first place which we were paying for. I refused to pay the agreed upon 90 dollars or so for the inspection, which he refused to do saying he had been working for 7 years in pest control and knew what he was doing.
Had he at least brought a ladder to go up and do the inspection I would have paid him, regardless of if we moved forward with the quote or not, but he refused to do the bare minimum. I will never do business with this company again.
We recently discovered we had carpenter ants on our deck. I called Mr. Pests Control Ottawa and they immediately returned my call and arranged an appointment even though it was a holiday weekend. When Abe arrived (on time) he was friendly, courteous and very professional. Within minutes Abe located the nest and killed the queen. He also sprayed the whole area. We were concerned that perhaps the ants were in the walls of our home, but Abe explained that it was highly unlikely they were in our home. Wow, what a relief! Thank you Abe and Sarah for being such professionals and for taking care of what for us seemed like a big problem. I would recommend this team 100%.
Great customer service! We had to call in the middle of the night about critters running in our ceiling and Mr. Pest Control was the only company that actually answered despite plenty of companies advertising as 24/7. Abe was wonderful! Inspected our place thoroughly, took pictures to show us everything he found and explained the best way moving forward. Within a week we were able to get everything sealed and fixed. Abe even walked us through everything he did and promised to come back at the end of the season to make sure everything is still good.

They’re very dishonest with their pricing. They said they would give me a quote after seeing my house. The technician did the work and after 10mins he told me the process was done and it would cost $350. It literally took him 10 minutes to throw poison around my backyard. They also showed up one day later than scheduled at a different time than scheduled. I would not go back to them.

I was really appreciate my experience with SOS Extermination and so did the tenants in the triplex present. Oussama and his team are extremely professional, experienced and polite. They work with you the customers and help you go through the ordeal. They took the time to find the causes of the issue and explained what was happening before taking action. I highly recommend SOS Extermination to anyone.
Really fast, friendly and efficient. They came right away to take care of the problem and included the basement I didn’t have immediate access to in my guarantee. I highly recommend this company. Hugues came by yesterday to address a yellow jacket hornet nest under our big high boarded deck. There was one access point on the opposite side about 35 ft away. He completed this job successfully from a-z. He sprayed the area through the boards, tried to remove the boards close to the site but they were difficult to remove even with a drill. Instead of breaking the boards with a crowbar, he decided to crawl under from the further access point, despite the risks (there is no quick exit if they come at you), and found the nest the size of a small bowling ball filled with larvae. This thing would have kept growing if we didn’t do anything about it. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and the customer service was guaranteed in this job. We will be enjoying our summer days on the deck worry free thanks to Hugues and will trust to call this company back if we run into other pest problems. It was worth every penny for the job that was done and the effort that was put it!
Paid $75 for an inspection, $1000+ for to clean up, and then another $1800+ for deep steam clean. Paid nearly $3000 in total for a small attic area clean up. One young man only worked in the property for around 4 to 5 hours. The guy just grabbed the noticeable insulation by hand. He even didn’t use vacuum to clean the small residue pieces in the attic, and he charged over $1000 for this unprofessional “clean up” job.
Especially for the deep steam clean, I paid for over $1800. The quoted was a full day’s work, but he only worked around 2 hours in the property before leaving. Felt overcharged, then called Orkin Ottawa. The manager explained that the time on the way, the time preparing the material (the material needed to prepare was only steam machine, I bought insulation and soffit myself) loading the tools and dumping garbage counted as well. It will be the first time and last time working with Orkin Ottawa. Judge by yourself, avoid this company as you will receive an unbelievable bill.
