Did not had “quick lunch” as advertised on TV (sandwiches or salads). We would need to wait for 10 minutes for the bread to cook. Not too far, Pingo doce has much better options. Continente needs to get their priorities straight.
This is the best supermarket we have found in Portalegre. A nice variety of produce, plenty of meat and seafood options, and a good selection of most everything else. Friendly staff and easy parking too.
I was surprised how busy it was for 19.30h on a Sunday. But plenty of checkouts open and the girl in the checkout was extremely efficient and friendly

I’m giving one star, because of the unprofessionalism of the staff in this store. They are never helpful or friendly. I had an encounter with a female employee (she is very short,tan skinned with curly blonde dyed hair)the store was already closed but she decided to let a Portuguese person in, but since I am a tourist of color she decided that I could not get in, but the Portuguese could. My fellow black tourists do not spend a single dollar at this store.This is a clear sign of racism,that should be taken to court!!!! Please check with the person who was in charge of the doors at closing time Saturday 01/28 at 10 pm and train your staff so they treat everybody the same

A standard rather small Continente supermarket.
The smell of the fish department (dried codfish) is overwhelming. It does not seem to bother the Portuguese though.
As almost always in Portuguese supermarkets skip the fruit and vegetables department. Three hundred meters down the road you will find a Lidl. Superb vegetables and fruit over there.
Small parking. Accessible for wheelchairs. Shop is accessible for wheelchairs as well, the aisles inside are rather small though.
Woman serving at fish counter totally ignored us. Asked her for service and she said to get a ticked from machine. There was no one there who wanted any fish. We got a ticket and she still ignored us. Obviously she didn’t,t like the English. We left our shopping and went up to Lidl,s just up the road.
Un supermercado normal. Esta limpio, bien iluminado y gran variedad de productos. Tiene comida hecha para llevar. Interesante.

They have quite a wide selecton of speciality items. Prices vary. Yep can find some good deals, but often not the best prices. Customer service, for the most part, needs improvement.
It’s a medium store, even so with a wide selection of products, namely all those you can expect to find at a supermarket.
Medium-sized Super Market with All types of consumables, a good place to find locally made products.

A place where we find a little bit of everything from tools, DIY items, agricultural items, fertilizers for all kinds of crops… pets. And now, as soon as you enter the Viseu store, you can also find quality seasonal vegetables and fruit at very attractive prices.
Big neat shop. Very clean. You can buy agricultural equipment, plants and animals there. When I visited there were many types of chickens and even parrots. Worth a visit, even just to get to know each other
Good product selection, ok customer service, price inflation in some products and ok pricing.

Don’t do the mistake of buying any electronics there. they say you have guarantee but they do not respect it .
I bought Headphones (high quality) in price of 120EUR , it did some connection problem. I brought it to the them, and after 29 days!! i recieved a msg declaring i can pick them up. i came ther only to find out the report says “the technician did not find a problem” . 21 days just for that ? somebody could call. I am now here with my headphones, still malfunctioning, very upset.
THE WARRANTY WORTH NOTHING
Absolutely disgusted. A visit to the store yesterday and observed a trolley containing a standing child and a dog. I complained to the front desk and security but all security did was stop the trolley entering the shop. The man was still allowed to walk around the shopping centre with the dog in the trolley!! Surely these trolleys are meant to be used for food. How has it become acceptable for the supermarket to allow children to stand in them? Nobody knows what their shoes have walked in.
This shop is a rip off, the auchan brand is cheep, the service is poor, and they electronics department is a scam. Everything i bought has broken within a 6 months. From pans to a scooter, Honestly the Forum is better and of a higher class.

Apart from being the cheapest supermercado for dog food they have a nice selection and the all important loyalty card..yay…the parkings good and its not far from town..then again so is jumbo and pingo at the forum.
Continente usually have one off and end of line goods so usually a bargin can be found but unlike the other bigger in area supermercada we go to..continente stinks of fish however we love going there and with wortens inside the store..what more can you ask for…well ok more could be asked for but hey we love the staff and the ability to get a pack of 20 iglo ( birdseye) beef burgers yay waves little flag
Sorry sir if you have MoneyGram in your markit so you have to do service I’m going from 3 days and everyday your staff said tomorrow tomorrow and they don’t have manners how to deal with cost more. Thanku you

Good well laid out supermarket with a great selection of fresh foods and all the usual brands. You’ll get a shock if you are from the UK as prices apart from alcohol are much higher in Portugal. A pack of Palmolive that sells for PS1.25 in Glasgow costs a whopping EUR4.49 here (PS4.00).
Best supermarket of algarve. You can buy best electric product at auchan lagoa. If you have complaints about product they never argue about repair or return. Easy communication, educated workers. Finally they have great knowledge about clients needs.
It used to be a go to place for inexpensive food and veg but recently the prices seem to be more or less the same as other supermarkets. Therefore bearing in mind its location one might find it a bit of a wasted trip unless you live in Lagoa.

This shop has a little of everything, from swimming pool products for cleaning, animals (some birds, fish, reptiles), food for animals, agriculture and farming tools, barbecue stuck. There is also a live plants section, along with seeds and everything you need to grow your own plants at home.
Good size shop, bigger than our local Caldas. Not easy to find, you need go behind the large Continente store. Deceptively narrow frontage but goes back a long way!
A huge choice of seedlings and fruit trees. Very friendly and English speaking staff. Great value for your money. Definitely recommend

Friendly and always very helpful staff.
Separate shop for insecticides, herbicides etc. Only possible to buy though when you have a (portuguese) licence for working with chemicals.
Parking next to the shop made out of concrete blocs with an open structure: OK for cars but not for walking. Uncomfortable for wheelchairs.
Shop is accessible for wheelchairs although not everything might be reachable.
It was awful seeing how they keep the animals they have for sale. Area completely dirty, no proper structure, no sun light. Just a bunch of birds in cages. The rabbit don’t even have a layer of whatever, he’s just standing in the metal cage.
Is this even allowed?
