First time user of KleenUp and really happy with my experience. They accommodated me very quickly having picked up on my distress (black mould issue in my apartment block) so yeah, Victor and Adiolo were extremely solution driven, great team dynamic and really efficient in getting the job done, they’re super nice and charming as well. Just poor service and even worse communication. Returned 2 plants today only to 1. Be grilled as to why they did not survive. 2. Then to be charged more for replacing them. I get prices change but we did everything the store told us to do upon original purchase. Then really poor communication and attitude from the staff when trying to make sense of what/what not to pay. This was not the first time we had issues with their customer service. No longer a customer.

The sweetest tranquil spot amid the bustle of the suburbs. Always worth a visit when in Rosebank near Liesbeeck Park way close to Mowbray. The Breakfast & Lunch specials are always worth it and enjoyable. Friendly service, good food, beautiful plants and a delightful store to shop for trendy home items. An all-in-one spot that ticks all the boxes for a peaceful morning out. Spotted the cutest little vintage version of the Fiat 500cc.

I went to Starke Ayres as I was looking for a small off-cut piece of artificial grass (training a puppy to go potty) Nadia, at the information counter, was simply amazing! Although they didn’t have any off cuts at the time, she got one of her colleagues to cut me small piece. Great customer service. Thank you, Shenzi seems chuffed!

My recent visit to Stodals was quite underwhelming, to say the least. I had hoped to find a soil poison for a substantial area of land, approximately 1500 square meters, which I intended to treat before laying down pavers. Upon entering the store, I spent a considerable amount of time, roughly 10 minutes, scouring the herbicides section without any assistance or guidance. Finally locating a staff member, I approached for assistance, only to find them inattentive and disinterested, as if my inquiry was inconsequential. Their demeanor left much to be desired, resembling the attitude one might expect when dealing with an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. This experience left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of service provided. For anyone seeking reliable and attentive assistance for their commercial gardening needs, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Instead, I recommend Agrimark, where professionalism and expertise are consistently upheld, ensuring a more satisfactory shopping experience.

Went to Stodels (20 March, approx 12pm) hoping to get an offcut piece of artificial grass. I found the section selling the grass and a basket with a few offcuts which were perfect. I took them to the till and was flatly told they weren’t for sale. Why then, were they in a customer accessible area?? Instead of making an allowance and providing great customer service (not to mention a sale) by selling me a small piece, they stood firm.

Highly annoyed, I went to Starke Ayres and the service I received was exceptional. They didn’t have any offcuts but when I explained I needed a small piece because I was training a puppy to go potty, the lady I dealt with immediately requested that a piece be cut to my requirements. Now that’s how you treat your customers.

Stodels may be closer to where I live but Starke Ayres will receive all my business in future!!

So many choices…. So many helpful, friendly & concerned staff…

Update:

I love love love this place oh my gosh!
I still can’t keep a lavender plant or mint alive, but I am doing a bit better though hahaha
My orchid of last year bloomed again this year and the love palm I got last month grew a few more palms and gained height.
Went and got some more mint and some more lavender

Up to 50% specials in store now!

Wish me luck for the newbies ….
I’ll be back
